My weekend at the track.

Well this weekend I spent pretty much all day Saturday and Sunday at the drag strip racing. Not just friday night drags racing, but bracket racing. Since the clutch in my car is completely fried, I raced my dads Ion. Shifting at 4000 rpm I was dialed at 19.12!!! After the two qualifing rounds, it was time for first round... I red lit and ran it through to a 17.14 @ 84 mph on a 19.12 dial LOL. That was saturday, sunday was a new race and I was ready. I shifted at 5000 rpm this time and was dialed 18.32. First round came up and I was against one of my buddies racing his Maverick. I cut a .023 light (.000 is perfect) and won the round! Came back and celebrated, then the semi finals came up. In the end I cut a -.052 red light, and ran it through at 17.32 @ 85 mph. It was a fun week end non the less.

whoa whoa whoa... you ran an ion at 17.32? are you serious? my ion was only CAI and has 18" heavy wheels with a body kit and street tires when I got it to a 16.3 in the 1/4mi...
why'd you shift at 5k when it cuts at 6500?!

Its my dads car. I've ran it hard at the track once, I ran 16.59 @ 87. I just didn't beat the crap outta his car this time.
