My first run i staged all the way up to the line. Here are the numbers. I dont have a scanner to scan the slips so ill just post what the numbers are.

decent times for your first time
dont worry about reaction time, it doesnt affect your time AT ALL
you should work on the launch, you can tell bu the 60 foot. 2.2 is what you should shoot for. If you lower your tire pressure, it'll help

the fastest stock base coupe time is 15.6

not bad for you first time my first couple were in the mid 16's so far my best is a 15.8

trick to getting a good reaction is go one the 3rd yellow light it take that much time for you brain and body to react

hmm an auto im not sure about i got a stick it took me a while to figure out how to launch that but what ive learned is start out like you would normal driving then ease into it im sure its way diff in an auto also are you putting it in 1 and shifting your self??

and for an auto im sure those are good times a stick will always be quicker unless you drive a super car

i konw in my 2006 lt, if i go WOT, it changes gears at redline... i would think that would be your best bet... if i don't hold the pedal down all the way, it changes gears before redline.

Not sure what WOT is. Also I just leave it in D i dont do the manual shifting of an automatic. I use to have an auto stick and if i put it in that mode i could just floor it and it would shift at redline.

If you have an auto and are getting bogged down or t/c lights when launching, then it may help to drop the stick into the lower gear, as that should disable the t/c. A little bit of spin will probably help you off the line quicker, then as soon as you've got traction, bump it back to D.

The only way to get t/c off is to put the ebrake on or to put the car in L. If i did that then i would have to manually shift back to D.
