BFG R1's or KDW's?

Going to the drag strip tonight and kinda wondering which tire will work for me better.

I have 255/35/18 KDW's on stock ss/tc wheels

Or 225/45/17 R1's on IRL wheels (keep in mind the R1s are a road racing R comp slick but has very stiff side walls)

I have been cutting 2.1's on the R1's but i think the KDW's may do just as good.

why would you use an autox tire for drag racing?

This. You don't want a stiff sidewall for drag racing, you want a very soft sidewall. There's a reason slicks always wrinkle up on launches.

its what i got..I normally use them for autox but i figured the softer compound tread would give an advantage over a street tire.

Yeap, R1s are way stickier but kdws are street friendly and grab good.
