okay are seriously bashing on him for street racing.. your telling me that you have never tried to impress someone with your car...??? i doubt that the answer is truly no.. and i mean there are always those times when you probably drive fast and you rev just to feel cool.. you bought the ss be cause you feel that you need the power? Well my answer to that is, that your compensating for something

 

i dont street race, and the only time i rev it to downshift

I can say honestly i dont rev to be "COOL" because that is rice, i dont sit and traffic and rev and wait for people to look at me, yea i have street raced before, but it wasnt some bullshit weaving in and out of traffic light to light ****, it was a actual organized money race in the country, not saying that makes it right or not dangerous, just saying there is a difference between a real street racing and just being a dumb ricer.

 

so your assuming I street race because i drive an SS? Thats quite the assumption you have made.

How would you know the guy typing to you right now is not a 40 year old that has a cobalt SS as a commuter car? I doubt he "street races"

gimmie a break, if your going to say something back it up with some evidence or else your going to sound like a 16 year old cobalt fan boy...^like you just did.

 

and street racing a 2.2 is kinda stupid... i mean it is only 145hp car w/ very little performance aftermarket, the only cars you can really hang with are of the "ricer" persuasion...

 

Seriously i can see if you couldnt afford a faster car or a car with more aftermarket, atleast dont be a ricer.

 

now taking your 2.2 to the track just to see what kind of times you can get that is a little diff.

 

I dont know what is worse people thinking burning out on stock tires is going to warm them up and make them sticky, or you beat a tc with his underglow on, he lives his life a quater mile at a time i guess.

Whats funny is that you have no idea who i am either.. so again.. dont call me a "cobalt Fan boy" or whatever because thats just crap.. My point is that you probably have raced at one point in your life.. In maryland halfway accross the country from me I have a nissan skyline.. alright.. Here in the good old stl all I can afford is an ls.. okay so they arent the fastest...but that doesnt mean that they cant be.. The ls makes 145 hp stock.. with the normal IHE you can get about 155-160 depending on what you get.. anyway thats besides the point.. Im backing up the other ls dude because you went off on him for racing a ls.. theres nothing wrong with it.. racing a cobalt ls is just as bad as racing an ss.. in the same fashion that in reality they are both slow... compared to say another street car... so you may call someone a rice because they cant afford something.. much like myself... but you can call someone a ricer because they have a lower proformance car that is less powerful than yours.. man thats weak

 

Iam calling him rice because he painted his hub caps black, and thinks his 2.2 is god, and you rice for spending thousands on a sound system but only have a intake and exhaust?

 

im not trying to be ricer, i tend to use my car to clean up some of the ricers that hang around, those who think they're cool b/c they have v-tec...i calmed down on the racing, i onnly do it when i have to...most of my races are when im going from work and some car just pulls next to me for a race...like justa couple hrs ago a tiburon did just that...

god dammit, those hubcaps are long gone...they were just temporary, and now i have rims...i have 15" voxx monza, yeah they're not that great, bu they beat hubcaps

 

If you care so much about performance and your such a racer and your backing him up then yea? Personally if you goal is to go fast what in the world would you spend that on a sounds system? Personally i would never put that much money into a system iam more concerned with the motor, but yea i guess it could be considered rice when you spend more money on your sound system then your motor.

Iam not trying to be mean or bash you guys iam just saying, i guess because when i got my first car i was a kinda rice, and now on my 6th car i have learned from my mistakes.
