I know there was another thread on this event, but registration for public opens on the 18th (friday).

I would urge anyone in the area to at least attend as a spectator. This event is going to be HUGE! There is going to be a lot of press coverage, LOTS of high end cars, and some famous cars even coming. For instance, the AMS alpha omega GTR will be there, Sharkey's 1250+ whp supra, POSSIBLY UGR's lamborghinis.

The entrance fee is high (195 before February 1st, 225 after until it fills up. 150 cars a day. 350 for both days), but spectating is like 15 dollars and you're free to walk around the pits I believe to see the cars.


I have been selected for and completed early registration myself for Saturday June 1st, so I will be there hopefully representing the cars well with both my attitude and the car itself. Its not confirmed yet, but the other, faster, more famous, sexier Ryan (from zzp) and/or Matt M may also be entering to represent the community! So come on out and have a great time!

The 'after party' late that night will be great as well. There are going to be ALOT of nice fast cars all over Chicago having the itch to sit down....

Im in the rolling half mile portion :P you know 1/4th mile times aren't my thing. I get to winde out that 6 speed! Lol

yep! already looked up flights! only $150 for that weekend roundtrip or might just take the balt with me and make the 12hr drive from NY lol

i went to the standing mile event in Miami a few years back when the TT ford GT did 256mph i believe. it was amazing!!!

Ryan you should be good for 140 minimum. You got more power then I had and I trapped 133 in the quarter, still on streets.

 

I'm hoping I do well Chris. Would be nice if you showed up as well! Could shoot the **** and I could buy you a beer or something. Better yet have your stuff in it. :X

Should be a great event. Me and buddies will be out there grilling and watching all the action. We have a bunch of buddies from Chicagogarage.com that will be running so should be good. Excited to see Ryan run that Snobalt..

Just attending likely on Sunday I got a few guys at work wanting to go too. I might schedule a vacation day so ill have a nice 3 day weekend outta the deal too. I guess it depends on which day has the best line up though. I'd really like to see some cobalts out there so we'll see.
