Chicago Half Mile Event!
haha im sure there is.
i have faith in your car scythe! haha
i got into an "e-discussion" on chargerforumz
there was a vid of an 870whp whipple charged challenger beating a ferrari f430 in the 1/2 mile.
git tired of people saying "man that ******* ferrari driver with too much money lost to a cheaper car" i bet he thought he was gonna smoke that challenger and felt like an idiot after"
despite the challenger being built to crap to be faster, they couldn't comprehend that a challenger is still a cheaply made dime a dozen car now these days and isn't hard crafted or as desireable as a ferrari.
ill post one example here..
Lets watch the video again may we...They look to be at a track correct? Bottom line is dude was racing his $200K Ferrari was he not???? He thought of course he was "fast" but got his a$$ handed to him by a Dodge! LMAO!
Dodge = On the road every where!
Ferrari = Looking good while getting beat!
I guarantee you that Ferrari guy was like WTF just happened, and I need another type of Ferrari! LOL
my response..
"so you're saying that a person shouldn't race other cars that he may lose to?
i seriously doubt he went there expecting to beat everything because he spent more on it. he went there to enjoy his car, wind it out, have some friendly races with some people and do some comparisons. you think the ferrari driver went home and cried because he lost? he probably had 5 more cars at home that would mop the floor with that challenger and he could care less if he lost that one race.
watch the other videos. i saw a vid of the challenger driver getting into that same ferrari to go for a spin.
he must have been going for a ride just to rub the challengers win into that ferrari drivers face right?
i have a friend who loves watches. he owns two rolex watches. he enjoys them and appreciates them for what they are. a very nice hand crafted watch. he doesn't wear them to brag or show people up. he is very well aware that a $10 casio watch holds it's time better and more accurately. does he care? no. is he suprised that his $4k watch loses 6 seconds a day compared to the $10 casio that loses 6 seconds a year? no. he didnt buy it to have something that is a perfect time keeper, he bought it because he appreciates the work and style it has. again apples to oranges.
good lord. what happened to car enthusiasts appreciating things for what they are instead of being nutswingers and saying "ya dodge rules. that ferrari didn't see that coming! what a dummy for racing that challenger"
give me a break. you sound like a bunch of apes.
a whipple has a pretty distinct sound and i guarantee the ferrari driver went knowing that he would be up against some 500-1000+ HP cars that would wax him. that's the norm there. duh.
the previous persons post before this one is a perfect example of this ignorance."

I agree 100%. I hate the argument of "this cheaper car beat this more expensive car". At the end of the day, the guy with the 200k car could have bought whatever he wanted and made it as fast as he wanted. He bought the Ferrari, Lambo, GTR because he liked the car. And yes, with the right amount of money, you can make any car fast. The whipple Challanger sounds sweet, but at the end of the day you are gonna snag more ***** and get more looks in a Ferrari lol
^^^^ BINGO.
my biggest pet peeve was idiots commenting on how the ferrari driver is a loser and thought he owned the road because he drove a 200k car. like the guy had no idea that most cars there are faster than his stock ferrari.
morons.

Well guys it was a AMAZING time out at the Chicago Half Mile Event! Got to see the AMS Alpha Omega GTR do 208 in the half-mile, but also got to see Ryan (Sythe-Snake) do 159 in the Cobalt!!!! He represented the community very well, and everyone was more then surprised. I will have videos and pictures up later on tonight or in the morning!
This is him against a BIG single turbo Supra...

Wow just wow not only one of the fastest cobalt around but one of the best looking Imho
Its real tough to tell in the video on my phone did he stay out in front of the Supra and did the trap higher? I know it made over 600 on the dyno but did he have it set to full kill mode that day
