Cobalt Trifecta at the track!
Well today Myself, NGalaxyTimmyo, and PatathSS went out to the strip!
It was a LONG LONG LONG drive for all of us....it took me about 2hours to get there
we went to Mid-Michigan motor plex ...its was the only strip that was open today due to that **** weather.
patathSS had the best times of the day due in larg part to his DR's....he cut a few2.00 and under 60 footers.
I had the the High trap speed of the day at 104.15 with a time of 14.3
my times were largly slowed down to my less then awesome drag strip driveing and my HORIBLE sliping clutch but i do take some of the blame
..the speed is there so i know i have the power its just not geting to the ground.
once the the boost rolled on in 1st(the hp tune was good but needs some work) the tires broke loose. Then for at east the first 1/4 or half of 2nd was spent eather spining the tires or sliping the clutch...or both then ALOT of slip going into 3rd...it was NOT pretty...nor did it smell good!!!!
My 2nd best time was.....(the pic for my best time dident come out with the mom's camera, I'll get my dads tomorrow.)
PatathSS got as low as a 13.6/13.7..dont know exact times but i'm sure he'll post up
NGalaxyTimmyo had solid times for the work hes done to the car...i think he was in the 14.2X's a few times with traps at 100 or so.
now for the funny story for the day!!!!!!
Durring a Run when myself and NGalaxyTimmyo were goin head to head we launched outta the whole...i had a slight half car lead or so only to miss my 2nd gear shift...that gave NGalaxyTimmyo the chance to jump a head of me by about a car or so BUT thats when my 2.7 and tune came in....before the end of the track i had cought up and passed tim to beat him by a car or so....i laughed at it but i think NGalaxyTimmyo was more confused as to how i cought back up!!!
it was an awesome day and it showed me that the work i've done to the car has helped my times ALOT from a previeus 14.9X best to a 14.159 at 103.14
i KNOW that once i get a clutch that hooks up and the TQ mang changed in the tune she'll be in the 13.80's-13.90's...if not then its time for driver mod!
