couldnt break 14s

couldnt break 14s

i went to the track for the first time and with stock axles and my mods i couldnt break 14.06 at 103 i couldnt get good launch cuz i was afraid of snapping axles and couldnt pass the 1/4 mile line with less then 170 iat2's my pump doesnt work until im reviing like 3000 rpms.. why is this

your pump has nothing to do with your rpm. its simply not working. you are running so slow because the car is pulling timing on top of the already high intake temps.

preload and launch higher..yes the stock axles blow, but you can still manage

I know roll racing is alot different, but I seen in your other post in another thread that you wax GT's all the time, I take it this is from a roll and not from a dig?

yea typically i only race from a roll because my iat get to 130-150 sitting still for less then a few seconds and when im rolling in a low gear they drop tremendously so i start with like 80 iat 2s instead of 130 or hotter.

you dont start with 80* iat2's unless its about 50-60 out lol

well when u pack ur resivoir full of ice water and its 72 degrees out i get 80-85 iat2's before the first run

you need some traction mods .... ie. ingalls torque damper, rotated trans mounts, poly mounts, tires etc. Anyone of those mods together or seperate will help with traction, and allow you to obtain a better launch.
