does anyone know how to launch, and shift rpms?
i was just curious because i went to the track today and the best i got was 15.8 in 1/4 mile can someone tell me what i am doing wrong because i launched at like 2000 to 3000 rpms do i have to launch later and what is a good rpm to shift at thanks.
LOL well I guessing you have a 3 second launch or something. Are you stock?
lauching at 3000 to 2000 rpm. now way man you will sit and spin. I launch at 1100 and ease it out of the whole. it looks funny like your driving no better than granny, but really smooth and slow is sometimes faster. you want to launch as hard as you can with out much wheel spin. if you get wheel hop you want to back off not go harder. I have had the horrible launch and I got 15.5 once. 14.7 was my best stock but you could do better than that I think.
hope that helps some.
other setup tips. - Burn out to remove rocks and dust from tires, also air down tires to 24lbs.
good luck

I was super stoked about being at the track and I lost my mind so my launches sucked. A good RPM to **** at is red line. You're going to need all 6500 of those RPMs you get with a stock limiter, and if you're modified, all the way to around 7000 rpms.
