Does reaction time count in reg. 1/4 mile run.

Just went to the track yester day & my times were not what I expected. Alot worse actually. But there is 1 thing I need 2 clarify b4 I go again. My question is in the regular 1/4 mile race does your reaction time count with your run time. because my reaction times were pretty bad as well. Thanx & sorry if this is a repost. I'm new to 1/4 mile racing so I'm really not sure.

No sir, you could sit at the line whne it turns green, when your wheels cross the beams, thats when your time starts!

I got 14.48 & have the following:
Gm stage 2 w/ 2.8" pulley
1 step colder plugs (Iridium)
XTC downpipe w/ no cat & pacesetter exhaust
Injen CAI
Spec stage 3 clutch
fidanza race flywheel
& boost bypass mod done.
The ONLY thing I can think of that could have made a little difference is the 75lb subwoofer box in back & maybe the boost bypass thats it.

I would try hooking back up the bypass valve . With the stg 2 tune you shouldnt need to do that , the pcm should allow the extra boost without bleeding it off .
