So Im heading out to Dragway 42 (Seville, Oh) tonight to try to get in the 100mph club...
This is my first time out to the track with all my stage II mods. My car best stageI time/mph was 14.13 @ 100.03. Im really hoping to get in the 13's tonight and obviously run 100mph+.

anyone think Im going to have trouble acomplishing this with these Mods...

2.8'' w/42.5's (i know thats alittle small for 42.5's but it seems to be running great)
Stage1/Stage2 Flash/tune
CAI (K&N)
Gmpp Cat-back
Brand new Bridgestone Potenza sport's all the way around.
And a Working IC Pump lol. Im pretty sure it wasnt working the first time I had the car to the track.

Yeah you should hit 100 no problem.

 

So i did a practice run before the qualifing and i ran 14.3 @ 100.5mph. My 1/8 trap was 75mph. All my other runs i had a 77mph 1/8 trap but i only did 98.95mph? Why does that not make any sense!

 

check the list a little ways down. last year aug. 24th 2010.
i'm on there. i guess i got to get on for 2011 now. lol.

yea, 42 isn't the greatest. but it's the only dragstrip around that does the
100mph club. i live right by norwalk. i go there all the time.

 

Makes sense if your IC pump wasn't working correctly, had massive heat soak from the previous run(s), your shifting was a bit different, or really any reason honestly

I'd go with a hotter IAT2 being the reason for that difference personally, dropping some ice onto your heat exchanger between runs can make a bit of a difference in cooling it down and hence forth your IAT2 temps. A Cryo2 sprayer system would also achieve the same effect but better since it sprays liquid co2 or ice water depending on the kit.

 

Drove right by that strip when I was in Ohio a few weeks ago, we where on our way to check out norwalk.

I hate that track.. its fun but it sucks... im on the 100mph Club like may or june of last year i just went there last friday ran a few 14.00 flats at 104.8 or my 60fts are terrible i need tires still on stock conti's with 3/32nd's i have eagle f1 a symetrics just havent put them on yet idk my 60's were 2.4 :/

 

Should be easy. I hit 107 on a 2.79"...

Are your injectors GMS2 42's or Lucas 42.5's? You could probably get away w/ the Lucas injectors on the 2.8 so long as you weren't trying to squeeze everything possible out of the setup. Otherwise, I would recommend picking up some 60lb/hr injectors, which I happen to have a spare set of, lol...

 

I have lucas 42.5's I would like to stick with those if possible. How much for the 60's? You got a harness?

I don't blame ya on wanting to keep what you've got. The Lucas are fine on a 2.8 so long as you don't go crazy or have a ported head/cams...

If you ever do want to step up, I do have the 60's that I'd let go for $100 shipped. No harness though, sorry...
