Finally got to the track

I went out to the track last night and got in a few runs. My best run was a

60'....2.288
330....6.188
1/8....9.365
mph....76.64
1000....12.134
1/4....14.463
mph....97.03

The car wasn't getting good mph it seemed to flatten out at the top end of the track. I think it is because of my stock exhuast. Any pointers would be appreciated thanks.

That is a really bad time for all the mods you have.

What RPM are you shifting at?

yeah sounds like you need some serious driving mods. You should be trapping around 104+MPH with those mods and running mid to high 13s all day.

not sure the elevation. I live in kansas so it shouldn't be real high. My clutch was slipping going into 2nd for about 2 seconds. wouldn't even scratch second, it sounded kinda like an automatic transmission. And like I said my top end was really flat.

stock balts trap that high sometimes

and maybe your car is pulling timing because your running a 2.79 on the stage 2 tune and 42 injectors

Lets assume that I am not a horrible driver (I know where to shift and how to launch Thank you) What else could be causing the problem? I was thinking the same thing as DAREDSS. Anything else would be helpful.

Its not drver you had a 2.2 60' so if you got launching basically down thn im prett sure you know how to shift to third gear. I think its what I said before the stage 2 tune is crapy as it is and you have a 2.79 so its back it down. Just get it tuned and im sure it will run a lot better

oh and your clutch slipped that ***** you up a lot too

Another question. I put the dual pass kit on the week before I went. I am still putting dexcool in it to fill it up and get all the air pockets out. Would that have made a huge difference. Maybe the intercooler wasn't cooling my IAT's properly. The excess heat would probibly reduce power alot right?

bump

Willing to bet the heat + stage 2 tune with the 2.8 = timing pull.

Yea they max out up top. I shift at 6k now, I can literally feel it pull timing up top.

Next time you go and you have all your bugs worked out with a 2.2 60foot your going to be running mid 13s easy. Maybe better, good luck man.

Sounds like the car is going to be pulling timing...hence the good launch with not so good trap. Keep in mind a car will retard timing to prevent it from destroying itself....

Would be curious to see the AFR if those injectors supposedly max IDC around 6200 RPM. Something tells me its probably a pretty scary number for the stock internals...

if you didnt put more dexacool back into the cooling system and bleed out the air bubbles, chances are your intercooler wasnt working for ****. Im suprised your engine didnt blow up
