Finally got to the track
Sounds like the car is going to be pulling timing...hence the good launch with not so good trap. Keep in mind a car will retard timing to prevent it from destroying itself....
Would be curious to see the AFR if those injectors supposedly max IDC around 6200 RPM. Something tells me its probably a pretty scary number for the stock internals...

as for your times I think the setup, shift points, and good ol driving are all to contribute to your times.
1. driver - practice - we all need it. nobody is a born driver.
2. shift points - I got my 13.9 (see sig.) by not dumping the clutch and burning out but rather a controled release like I am leaving a light as fast as I can with no wheel spin, shifting to 2nd at 5000 rpm to bring me at 3000rpm in the start of second. use second until just after 6000 rpm to give you the meatiest part of the power band for third. then just hold it to the boards.
3. sounds like timing being pulled out could be an issue. the only way to know for sure is looking at it with HPTUNERS to see what your IAT's are like, any KR's, and what your afr is.
good luck.
I did put more dexcool in the system. It just wasn't completely bleed through. It wasn't dangerously low. It has now been completely bleed and filled. I just ordered hpt so I will be able to throw the 60#s on and tune away.
Wow, man! That sucks, but it's been hot as **** around here the last few days, and that will have adverse effects, and it will make the car fall on it's face because it's so damn hot!!!
Yeah, I decided against the 60s too much of a hassle for not enough hp increase, I can get the same performance increases from doing a full exhaust! But you are prolly maxin' out your 42's with that 2.79 pulley, do you have a tune yet???

look out for a wierd smell, teflon burns at 165f IAT2's the s/c has to be in excess of 260f is my guess give or take. it is a total guess.
exhaust wise I can vouch for zzp header and down pipe. the header is great for the price. it is middle of the road I guess vs. long tube but for 5HP or less difference and that the ZZP stuff is totally bolt on I would say it is worth it. running stock catbac and it sounds very good. quiet for highway and sounds the same just 3x as loud.
Well I found out why my car ran so bad at top end. The damn fuse to the Aftercooler pump was blown!!! Thanks to HPTuners for letting me know that my IAT2 Temps were in the 230s at WOT at the end of third gear. It was pulling so much timing I was only at like 12* at 6200. I took it out after I changed the fuse and my timing was back up around 18 or 19 which isn't to bad. I am going to the track tomorrow and hopefully everything smoothes out.
no more 14.4 for me at 97 98
