Finally made it to the track...
Temps dipped down into the high 60s so I made the trip. It was extremely crowded, so I only got to make 2 passes. Get this, I pull into the madness of probably 10k people, and just happened to park right next to my last Mach, lol. The buddy I sold it too was sitting in it. So, I got to line up next to him and got a vid no less. He spun his ass off, so I pulled him. He hasn't been able to do better than a 13.8 with it. I ran a 12.9 with the same car, so he just needs practice. Anyway, my first pass started off with a 2.2 60' with a 13.91 at 103.4 Mph. I got some wheel hop in 1st, and lots of clutch slippage in 2nd. My 2nd pass was good for an almost identical 13.97 at 103 mph, with a 2.1 60'. I really wasn't expecting to pull low 2 second 60s with a fwd, but did something right I guess. Both runs experienced a fair amount of clutch slip, so I'm sure that cost me a good 2 tenths and at least 2-3 mph. I'm going to go ahead and start working on getting a strong clutch and possible a cat-back, and definitely some motor mounts for the wheel hop. Then I may be able to produce a low 13 second slip.
Just to add to this thread, while getting onto I-40 from I-95, some guys on bikes that were also at the track came up on us hard from behind, so I moved over for them. The guy in the back of the pack wiped the *** out right in front of us on the curve at the top of the merging bridge, all of us running highway speeds. They were well over 90 mph, myself prolly about 75. His bike hit the guard rail and completely came apart. He skidded down the road, seemingly unhurt to our amazement (although he may of just been in shock and not aware of his injuries). I actually ran over his faring. His buddies kept going without even knowing! We all pulled over along with another group of bikes and two trucks with enclosed trailers. We helped them throw the bike into one of the trailers and they gave the guy a ride since they all live in Durham. Wild night for sure. Just wonder how bad that dude really is hurt though. You don't just come off a bike at 90 mph and walk away with nothing.

Its a wheel hopping, clutch slippin SOB for sure. I hope I can get the funds together soon so I can remedy those issues. With that stuff out of the way and a little more practice it ought to be running some lower 13s.
Sure enough. Were you there?
