you should be able to launch pretty high if ya wanted to. there was a guy that launched at 6500 with slicks on a lsj. but i would start low and go from there.

you don't want the tire to be flat per say. but you want it to have enough play to where it can start to wrinkle the sidewall upon launching. but on a 17" wheel idk how much side wall you have. thats why people tend to run the smallest wheel possible. brembos ftl lol

15 or so psi is good on that tire. Thats where I had good 60's at. I tried 12 to 18 and that seemed to be the best for me. If you are at a 7000 rpm redline, then leave it in third, the tires you got are 26 inches tall. Launch, ehh try 3000 see what it does if the clutch is good go to 3500. I left at 45-5000 on the stock clutch and all was good.

ok I cut a 1.90 60ft I was happy but in that run I missed 3rd
I had 2 1.9 and 2 2.0

wow slicks are great!! omg I need a few more passes its like a new car. my clutch never slipped. every run I would launch at different rpm's I found 4,500 to be the best. I also found it hard to use slicks with out a 2step or WOT box. I was only at 20psi but I still could not get them to spin.

next time I go I should get some good passes I had to sit in my car for almost 2 hours to wait out the rain.

20psi in the tires? or boost? lol

try lowering the tires down to 18 or 19. then start at 4,500 and up the rpms each time by 250 till you get them to spin. then back it off 250. and theres your setup every time. 18 or 19psi and XXXXrpm

i foresee low 1.8s happening.

yea it was 20psi in the tire I am not going to go any lower if I dont have to....I could not get them to spin I dumped it at 5000rpm thats when I got the 1.90......next time I will try around 5250.....its hard to keep it in the same spot I need a WOT box. also want to launch on boost

oh ****. for some reason i thought you had a WOT box. yeah after you get one of those you're going to need to lower pressure. 20psi is actually normally too much for most slicks. and if you're running a WOT and generating boost while trying to launch at 5k, may not hold.
