I would have to agree with blown4b he did get me. His cars response is so much higher with that intake and exhaust. now bulldog used to own the hand me down that blown now owns and I pulled much harder on him but in this last session blown was the one who pulled on me. This car need airflow and stage 2 alone will not give you everything you need.

he cant drive..sorry, the first time i raced my buds stock ss with my stage 2 it was by a car, i wasnt used to the new redline, the second time was a different story, about 3 car lenghts, that convinced my buddy to get stage 2.
now my stage 2 kit has the gmpp exhaust manifold, exhaust system, cold air intake and a 2.85 pulley, and everything flows almost flawlessly and she moves like a biach, its still a gm stage kit, jsut with goodies and a smaller pulley, peace.

i do agree bolt ons with stage kits unlocks a whole new beast, but even just with the kit on a stock car like mine used to be was still sweet

Please don't say warranty because you voided yours by installing the 2.7. Just curious as i'm trying to figure this market out
I think the same thing, the INTENSE stage 3 kit costs about the same as the GM stage 1. The INTENSE Kit is alot better than the GM, look at my sig for the time with my scan gauge, and keep in mind my tires are as bald as slicks and my clutch is about to go out and I did that time on a slick asphalt road.

My scan gauge said 14.01 @ 101 mph but at the track I posted a 14.40 @ 103 (before Stage 1). Wheelspin will make your gauge #'s look better and if your tires are bald - well, that explains it. INTENSE Stage 3 is NOT better than the GM Stage kit. Both are equally impressive but I went with the GM kit to not have to dick around with a new PCM or MAF-T and injector harnesses.

How do the gauges measure your speed and distance?

Oh ya, sorry, distance I can see that but trap speed? Well if what you are saying is true then that makes the gauge think that the 1/4 mile is done sooner than it really is, so the trap should even be higher than what it is reading.

Well it measures trap speed based on how fast your tires are currently moving, not based on how quick you got to the 1/4. So basically since your tires spun early and covered a lot of "fake distance", so to say, you get to the 1/4 sooner, and therefore haven't built up as much speed as you would have given the extra 50-100 feet.

So damn my trap speed is going to be even higher in full 1/4, mile fine with me. But I think that with tires and a clutch that will deff. make up for the false distance comming from the gauge, and my time will be even better.

Yeah, most of those guages will give you a lower time and trap speed than what you're really pulling off, but it's a great indicator of the car's potential. The less wheelspin you get, the more accurate it will be.

Ya cuz right now I am spinning very bad thru all of first and most of second so what do you guess my time might be with some good traction.

Tough to say...dunno how off it is. I know that 108 is a damn high trap speed, Intense stage 3...I mean Fast06SS is running 12.8@109, with much more power. Do you know if your gauge is calibrated to your tire size? I don't doubt mid-high 13s, but that trap speed is just so high. lol

Thank you...I couldn't have said it better myself. With Stage 3 Intense, realistic trap speeds s/b at 105-107 mph anf 1/4 at 13.7-13.9. At my local track, a Stage 4 Intense with MAF-T ran a best 13.68 @ 106 for the day on stock tires which is damn nice time!!
