Maybe I'll get the coveted "cat-back exhaust" so I can break into the 15's since no one thinks I can do it, lol.

I really don't see how I wouldn't be in the 15's with an exhaust and the mods I have.
I've been following this with great interest. Sad to hear you didn't make it to the track. I think you have a chance to make it into the upper 15's, but that is it. I have a friend (also a member on css.net) that also has a 2.4 auto with GMPP header, B&M shift +, and CAI. He ran a 16.3 at my insane altitude in the middle of summer. With you being closer to sea level and the corrected altitude coming down with the time of year seasonal change, I think you have a chance, but only a slim one. I'll be disappointed if you don't at least get low 16's.

All I have to say is good luck, and if you want to make a friendly wager, I will bet you that you won't make a 15 second pass.
I'll take that bet my friend, even though I'm not sure what we're betting.

I just picked up a spare head from a junkyard for about $150, which is an insane deal since it is a 2007 like mine and had the cams and stock valves in it. I'm going to be slowly building that up with some cams, fererra valves springs and retainers, and I might even get it ported before hand. Hell, it's not that hard to port, it just takes a long time. I might even do it myself.

After that we'll see if I'm in the 16's.

Yeah, there's no reason why he shouldn't be in the high to mid 15's all motor.

I'd say get to a different track and see if it makes a difference.

I check my compression religiously along with many other things

I ran 192psi of compression the week I bought my car

Last time I changed my plugs (3 weeks ago) I had 191psi on all four cylinders.

I told you guys I'd be trying to go back as soon as I could, so I'm bumping this.

I found a track in Lufkin, TX that is open on sat. Finally getting to go on the 7th.

Only mods since what I first posted was a ss catback. Aside from the DP, I've got all bolt ons.

I'll post the vid whatever the results, lol.

I would be on a 15 sec pass. But I'd bet the car is capable of a 14sec pass with those mods you have. You just need stickier tires than street tires.

Got brand new Sumitomo's a month ago.

I highly doubt 14's, I'm a 2.2 not 2.4. But I'm pretty damn sure I have an intake leak somewhere so I'm running lean.

If I don't break into 15's I'll be pretty disappointed.

Are mods mods in your sig what is on the car now? If so then you'll run better than 15's. If just basic bolt ons then I'm guessing 16 flat hopefully 15.99 lol.

Everything but the cometic head gasket and valves. Obviously those are for my build.

Keep in mind I'm an auto, I'm expecting at least one 15 second pass. If I do a low 15 I'll be amazed.

Track is a nice place I've heard, and temp will be at a brisk 52 degrees.

Relax? All I gotta do is step on the gas in D.

Think I should lower tire pressure?

kinda, you may find that youll get better results by pulling the ebrake 1 notch...not enough to engage but turns the traction control off. you can also try standing on the break, reving the engine and then letting off at higher then idle rpms...its all up to what works best for you.

some will say yes, some no, but i did, i ran at 28 psi front and 45 back...that way i got a tiny bit of good traction up front and no squish in the back lol

Managed to pull about a 100 lbs out of my car today, I'm bringing some people so I can't take out the back seat.

I'll post results when I get back this afternoon.

Well, sorry to disappoint but I did pretty bad.

I did like 3 16.02-9's in a row. I could not for the life of me break past it.

I got a video of the 16.09 but I'll have to wait to post it. Don't really even feel like taking the effort for such slow runs.

Mods are in sig, this is without the spare and jack.

No, now I wish I would have gotten one instead of this shitty B&M, lol.

This makes me want to drop money on boost even more now.

Yes, my car went 17.35 @ 80mph on motor.

5 minutes later I went 14.50 @ 96mph with 2 pounds left in a 10 pound bottle, so I don't want to hear ****.

For comparison there was an SS/SC at the track with a 2.6 inch pulley and his best pass was 14.58, and a stage 2 redline was going ~15 flat
A ss/sc w/2.6pulley running mid 14's and stage 2 running 15 flat.. a stock ss/sc should be running mid-low 14's stock....were that much of a shitty driver????

What was I saying 2 months ago?

Props, you did better than I expected, but you do have more mods than when you originally posted 2 months ago. With a tune, I think you could make a 15.9 pass, but without a power adder you're not getting any faster.

Most of it was in the launch, every time I just spun. I'm going to go ahead and say the car probably has more in it, I just can't drive. I agree, a tune would really compliment it.

I don't know what kind of 60fts are good for 2.2's, but it seems really bad no?

Hey, I was within .02 of a 15. I was within a hair of proving you wrong, lol.
