good times at the track

went to the track with hatrick stu last night heres how it went. we ran in the street import class with a stage 2 srt 4 it was my first round win and then there was a s2000 a VW cabrio a V6 grand am stus cobalt stage 2 my second win and of course my stage 4 cobalt and my final win a neon yes thats right a neon.heres the slips. oh i took first by the way. my car # was 9007
not the best time for me but i cut a light on him. i hate pro tree. stage 2 srt 4

this one was against hatrickstu and it was the first time ever beating him for me haha.

we were both excited with the time i ran against him but we were in no way prepared for what was to come in the finals. now keep in mind this is stock rubber with the mods that i have in my sig and spare and jack removed nothing else done.

we have videos but might not get them up for quite some time i just got my laptop with my video editing stuff stolen so im waiting on finding out if it will be insured. anyways what does everyone think?
oh and that stage 2 srt may not be showing great times but the car on the freeway will fly. he was still getting used to the new power of stage 2.

Nice night out.

Why would someone make a 1000 foot track, and not bother to add the extra 320 feet though? Is space that limited?

I couldn't say because its not a quarter mile. And look at his MPH...he couldn't have been past 3 gear. So I don't know what a typical 1000 ft time looks like so I can't say anything.

What I meant to say about the MPH was that it seemed pretty low...I'm use to seeing 97-99mph and not low 90s. But I guess that has to do with the shorter track also.

I'll vouch for that being a mid-low 13second pass (the 11.19). As someone who has compared his own 1000ft times to others with a full 1/4 pass, an 11.19 is a great time. Cant say for sure if it would have been 13.5 or 13.3 or anything else (if I was a betting man Id say 13.3-4ish), no way of knowing w/o actually doing the full 1320. Regardless that is a fast time. Thats stock-lightly modded LS1 w/ average driver territory.

Good runs man.

Great time w/ the stage 4. I ran the following 1/8th in my Cobalt at HRP back in March:

That was the only time I've ever hit below a 2.0 60ft.

Anyway, back when I had my Mustang and had her in the mid-13's at HRP (1/.4 mile track) my 1/8th mile ET's at HMP (1/8th mile track, relatively same temp and elevation) were usually around 8.5x for a 13.3x. Of course there are tons and tons of other factors involved that was just my experience. The point is you've got yourself a low-mid 13 second Cobalt.

I wasn't saying it wasn't a good time. I was saying I had never seen a 1000ft time. It seems weird to me. There are only quarter mile tracks here. I wasn't hating on anyone or saying they were bsing.

yeah i know, but on every time slip that is a 1/4 mile track there is 1000 foot times, and i beleive almost always 1/8 times as well, so just compare!
