Hoosier Quick Times

Im just curious if anybody has ever run these Hoosiers? Not too conserned about performance (i know they will do fine). Im more worried about sizing. I plan on running a 16x6 wheel and it says that the minimum is 6". Also, is the height on this going to fit okay? ATM im on Sportlines but within a few weeks i will have KSport coilovers so i will have some adjustability. Please and thanks

a 6 in wheel will be fine
i assume you already got rid of your brembos, but i'll just not that anyway
but you run a 26in tire no problem

I would run the 225/50-16 quick times if I were you. I think 26's might rub, and really is a bit tall for our cars.

you can run a 26" just fine. but with the 3.85 final of the tc, plus a taller tire will kill you're torque. i forgot how much power youre making on your swap but i would say its either/or if you want to run a 24.5 or a 26.

heres my 245/50/16 nt555r's. they're 25.6" tall.. i'm also on ksport coils

im making 407hp/391trq. and i will be pretty low on my ksports.

the wheels i have are 16x6" or i would just run those 245 555r's. the wheels are also free so thats why i am using them lol

those wheels are just a 16x7. i was just using that picture as a height reference though. stick with the quicktimes or a m/t et street. don't run a 555r

Well, all this talk of fancy tires, you had damn well better run better times than me this year at the track.

I don't wanna be on here poking fun at a turbo-swapped car that can't beat a stock k04 car down the strip. When you going to the track again? We've got a group of guys from WyCoRacing.com going down the weekend after July 4th for Street Wars on friday night and then the KBPI car show the next day. I probably won't be taking the Cobalt down then, I hopefully should be in my 93 Talon.

you'll have no problems running a 26. but then again, thats if you want to.

also for the price you'll pay for the hoosiers, $203 from summit and $244 from jegs, you could get some cheap ass 15"s and run a 24.5x8.5 m&h slick for $184. 26x8.5 m/t for $182. theres a lot better tire out there if you go to a 15

well then go with the gtp or a m/t et street. also with the et streets i know our local track will let you run in the slick lanes(less cars, more passes) instead of running with street tires out of the groove.

yeah any type of "cheater slick" or soft compound radial should be allowed to run in the slick lanes. but radials like the 555r, m&?h drag radial, etc.. treaded tires... will still run with street tires.
