As for the smallest pulley, that has yet to be determined. See, all the info you see about rpm's vs heat vs efficiency is based on prolonged Boost duration. To me, in a average run, you are only exceeding those limits for less than 2 seconds in the average 1/4 mile pass!!

What is more important is where the LSJ is happy, ie; no return HP or TQ rise per pulley size dropped. Eventually we will reach a limit where it takes more power to turn the smaller pulley than what it gains. So far, a 2.5 still improves both!! Just need bigger injectors
Man that is such great news. I knew the latest Gen M62 had some potential! And although porting the blower may not provide huge hp/tq gains, I'm sure it will help out w/ the efficiency of the blower the smaller you go w/ the pulley.

I dunno about everyone else, but I'm definitely excited to see what will be happening in the next few months. W/ the GM kits out, INTENSE, Rev it up, Hahn all going their own routes w/ the Cobalt/RL this is definitely and exciting time for us all....it's just being patient that sucks lol.

Remember, MPH is HP, ET is traction and TQ

I've shown this in dyno testing, I keep gaining TQ but not much HP, hence the better and better ET but the MPH is staying about the same since HP is staying consistent.

You can't be serious. What if you only added horsepower? That would make only your MPH raise??

I hope you are just trying to over simplify things and just not doing a good job.

Congrats on the time.

Intense has them but you need a machined snout and 60lb injectors to run a 2.5 safely

did you have to machine it down for the 2.7 and 2.6, i thought 2.8 was as low as you could go with out machining it.

Yes, 2.8 is as small as you can go w/o machining.

With the 2.5 pulley, maybe 50lb injectors would be enough and easier to tune ?

Unfortunately, most of the 50lb injectors out there are really bad when it comes to flow numbers. They are either way under or over 50 and therefore do not match very well unless you have a set flow matched. The Lucas 42.5 lb we use are preetty much always dead on as are the 60lb Siemens injectors. This is why we would go to 60 from 42.5 skipping the 50s.

Rob, outstanding driving, launching, and learning. You do the Cobalt community, Hoosier Performance, and INTENSE proud everytime you knock down that number. Keep it up!

Yes, i agree with Todd. The 50lb injectors are junk! I had a set on my GN once. Idle'd like crap, hard starting, etc: but all we had at the time.

Also, skewing the maff past 20-25% gets dicey at best

just a question, do you think intense is going to put out upgrades that are compatable with the GM stage 2? or will you have to go with intense the whole way?
