If I'm still up here in NY I'd be up for going. I've gotta get more runs in at any track. ****, I've only had 5 runs period. On stock tires that's a real shitty 60' for someone who's never raced FWD...

I'm down for sure.

Yo, I wonder how accurate my scan gauge is. I got my purge valve replaced cause it was sticking and my car runs SOOOO much better. Clicked off a 13.2 at 108 and a 0-60 in about 5.86 ish last night. It was about 77 degrees out. She pulled HARD!! Bring them SRT's...I'll have at a minimum, all my cooling mods minus meth done by then for sure.

Just trying to figure out a ball park number of people that would be interested in going.
are you ******* mad? None of the cobalts in the area are in the twelves and only two one being you are turbo. Most the srt-4's can avg low 13's and you've seen what the bolt on with slicks can run. It'll be a massacare....................

You know, just for that comment I'm shooting for 12's with only adding axles and DR's and possibly header and dp...My car has low 13's in her with the mods I have now, EASILY...

yeah they were running 14 flats and i was pulling 14.5-14.8's it doesn't matter what there running for the day it matters what your running in comparrision. Plus an srt-4 vs cobalt track day will call up all the srt-4s from the depths of hell out for us. Theres no scary cobalt running around the place besides you but you forget even in our crew they got big turbo and super stocks aplenty. Richies got slicks too paul they'll take you out with one of there "kinda" fast srt-4's then the rest of the day is a wash. **** MEZz's cobalt got taken out by Eblue and he's the fastest m62 cobalt on longisland right now. I can throw out a 262 - 270 whp number and luis put me at his rear quarter panel. This is fubar man your gonna make me blow and axle trying to take out all these srt-4s.......

From up your way...We may have some half decent Cobeys from down this way show up out the wood work. Like I said, I'm shooin for high 12's with a 2.79" pulley and proper supporting mods.

I'll have to agree with phil on that one man. I just don't see it happening. Though I never really "Ran" my car on the track. Once I do a clutch though I'll see what this baby can do with a proper launch.

**** Phil it'd still be fun. Hell of a lot safer than racing on the street.

I've taken mine to the track and know what I have to adjust to get better numbers. I'm working on that already. Not to mention, I live fairly close to E-Town, I might roll out there to run and see how she does on that track...Our cars have the POTENTIAL for really good numbers, it's just a matter of workin on the 60' times. Get her out the whole is our largest issue. Once that is handled, them quarter times will drop a plenty

Let me know when you rolling out there, and I will see if I can roll as well. I'm still on stock axles so I may taker a bit easy for now though. I did launch at about 2-2.5K last night with the scan gauge for ***** and grins and she was out like shout. lol...A bit different at the track though, ESPECIALLY depending on the track prep

at the track that will only give you broken axles and or trans due to wheel hop unless you're on dr's or something with some give. I sold my slicks, so I'll be rollin on street tires, trying to get me a set of RL 17's and DR's for the hell of it.

My first run at Atco, I didn't burn em up in the box, I spun em out to clean em off and I also ran with 35lbs...Spun straight through 1st and missed second and pulled a 15.0 at 99mph with a 2.6 60'...Was horrible...Dropped the tire pressure down to about 27lbs, smoked em up in the box, and she bogged a bit off the line and I still pulled a 14.4 at 102 with a damn 2.5 60'

LMAO!! Then I guess mine wasn't all too bad then. I purposely didn't tack her up too high for fear of that happening. There was another local Cobalt guy there with me. He ran a 16 something, but he smoked up the clutch and he had to leave after his first run. I think he rode it out in the burn-out box. Gotta tack it up, and drop it in there...
