Just got back from ceicel with stage 2 :'(
Just got back from the track. Was a little disapointed hence I had stock tires put back on and a torque brace and stage 2. I was able to run VERY low 14's the whole time. Still cant get my launch down without going from an Idle so I have the feeling thats whats keeping me out of the 13's. I also gapped my plugs a little over .40 so IM gonna race my bro when his back gets situated and see if he can beat me to see if that may be an issue.
anyway heres a movie and some times.
On the sheet on the left that was my last run of the night and was against an SRT-4.
On the sheet on the right that was my boy edubb in his Pontiac G6 GTP 6 speed. also the video below is that race.
I went up there with a 350 Z, Altima SE-R, Acura Type - S, neon 2.0 magnum, and the Pontiac G6, needless to say I was atleast .5 seconds faster then all of them.

Heres a video

Anyway I was hoping for 13's will try to go back and get them.

good race....
your in the same pickle as me lol
We have the same mods and still sitting at very low 14s trying to get 13s... except im 5000 feet above sea level :P
good runs man, atleast you were consistant

what can i say, your 60 foot is almost as good as its gonna get with this tires... lowest ive seen is 2.1. Are you powershifting?
I was powershifting my last day at the track (not letting off the gas while shifting) and i gained a 10th from the time b4 at the track. But after 5 passes my clutch slipped pretty good on my 1-2 shift and today it slipped again when i was out cruising and shifting hard... so now i have to order a new clutch :'(

no I dont power shift, and I idle launch. I would think with Idle launching that would hurt my 60, if I get a better clutch that grabbs when you launch at like 1.5 -2000 rpms I would think the 60 foot would be better.
i found that my best 60 foots were rolling off the line (at idle) and then feathering into WOT. I tried dumping the clutch at every rpm between 1000 and 3000 and i had slower 60 foots than just rolling off theline as if i was driving to the grocery store.
Haha, yeah I, since i am getting a new clutch... might as well get a flywheel too eh

I will be going to the track tomorrow. I will see if I can better your time since you beat mine. LOL. I do not think I will because I will have too much gas in the tank when I arrive. I just filled up and then got invited to go to the track. I do not think I and going to run it down low enough. Anyway I think you got really good times and yes that the 13's are hard to get to. I will also be vary conservative and only lunch at idle. I will just be trying to get my R/T time down.
Good runs!!!
You'll get 13's with a little more seat time.
You are so lucky to be at 400ft!!!
I must urge you not to powershift.
It is really hard on parts, like synchronizers and clutches. It is worth a small amount of time, and it is much cheaper to buy more parts to go faster once the damage adds up.
If you want to continue with it Cody, you had better get an extremely aggressive clutch to take the abuse. If you are anything like me, you'll keep modding and adding power. I suggest a 4 or 6 puck design, and either carbon, or kevlar composite discs.
This is testament to the fact that fi cars aren't affected by elevation as much as n/a cars.
Still at a big handicap running at elevation though.

yeah im defintately not going cheap with a clutch....... i need to do some research and find a really aggressive strong clutch. I didnt buy this car for trips to the mall. I am hard on it and I am looking to race it like every weekend haha. I knew i was gonna be upgrading my clutch this season, i just wanted to push this one to the max first
I takes some practice to get good times from normal street tires. I got a 2.12 60ft and ran 14.6@94. Another time I got 2.20 and ran 14.7@95. The only difference between those two runs was I jacked up air pressure in the rear to about 45psi cold and I didn't take out my seats that time either. Track conditions were about the same.
LACR is at 2700ft above sea level and Chrysler has tuned the cars to run around 11.5 A/F. The thinner air doesn't help and saps power as SRT-4's are capable of trapping between 99-101mph dead stock with the "driver mod" which that SRT-4 owner next to you in the left time slip needs BADLY; 15.3@93mph, yikes.
If you really want good times from your street tires, besides practice, I would invest in motor mounts, lower control arm bushings and lowering springs to help chassis dive at launch.
Of course DR's help a ton as well...

I want to be able to say "I drive a 13 second car" so I guess I will have to do one of two things
1.) Upgrade from Driver MOD stage 2.5 to 3
or
2.) More Mods
or both

Nice runs Xenozx! You definitely have a 13 sec car there. Pretty impressive w/ the Altitude of the track too. W/ the stage two what RPM are you shifing @? Are you still in 3rd by the end of the track? You're cutting some pretty good 60fts on street tires...believe me, w/ more practice you'll get those 2.0 60fts..

I try to shift arround 6900 RPM's. Its a close call. I usually shift into 4th just to be safe, but I dont have to shift into 4th until about 105-108 mph.
Living with your parents is kool, so I am going to save some loot for a Header, CAB's, and a Clutchmasters clutch and flywheel.
Then my car is complete
good times, i know what its like. after i got my stage 2 i was really hoping to get the 13s under my belt. but at cecil my best time was only a 14.15, i hope i will get a good launch and maybe with my new intake i can squeeze in there... ugh what ever happend to the .7 sec off the 1/4 GM promised with a stock car combined with stage 2...
