Launching FWD

Hey guys. I've been to the track several times in my past cars and run decent high 2.1 60 fts in automatic and manual in RWD platforms.

The '09 TC I have on order will be my first FWD vehicle. In due time I will be at the track and my question is...

What is the best way to launch a manual FWD car: Drop or slip the clutch?

My '89 Supercoupe didn't respond to dropping the clutch as well as it did to slipping, although I did manage to get a 2.28 60 with a slight bog. Seems it either spun or bogged depending on the rpm which led me to decide to slip (and abuse) my clutch off the line.

Will the FWD perform similarly?
