launching with SS/SC

Just a question to all who might have some ideas for me. I plan on taking my balt to the track this friday and was wondering what is a good technique anyone has used for a great launch? my car has no mods at all, and this is really the first car i've owned that could be used for track runs. I haven't had awhole lot of experience other than on the street which is too dangerous anyways imo. Some suggestions would be most appreicated. Thanks in advance.

i used to launch @ 2k, feathering the clutch. but that how you jack up your clutch.
now i have a boost ramp for first gear, and i have no wheel hop or traction issues

well launching the car without traction and stabilization mods is border line impossible as far as a perfect launch. The best you will be able to do without breaking your mounts is keep your rev at 2k. When the light hits the prestage just before the green then give your car some gas. DO NOT GO FULL THROTTLE IN FIRST. This car cannot take it and the mounts are garbage. Once you get to about 15-20 mph start pushing the throttle all the way down, from there shift into second at about 6200 rpm while your foot is on the gas and get into second quick. You miss second with this technique and you will bounce off the rev limiter. This is the safest technique for your mods, however you will red light some but with practice that is the best you can do. Every car I have owned before this I could prestage to 3500 rpm and mash it out the gate. You do that with this vehicle and it will throw the engine in your face.

I was trying for a street start when I went last and I got some great traction but the car went into limp mode. I swear it woulda been a 13 second run cus it felt great and I was hitting very low 14's before hand but that was the last time I ever tried. Haven't tried since getting the new tires or exhaust.
