"Used primarily for drag racing to provide positive locking action to the front wheels of race cars"

What are you thinking? Trying to use it to lock the back wheels on a Cobalt maybe?

I wouldn't. But that's just me.

lol it's called an e-brake...i really only see the use of that on rwd applications so you can heat up your tires/light your tires up in flames without burning your brakes up

line locks are for RWD apps, FWD have things called ebrake that will lock the rear wheels.

actualy a line lock can be handy in any car for launching. in a stick car, trying to get the revs just right and holding the car from rolling out of the beams can be a bit of a trick on some tracks, and your hand isnt quick enough on the parking brake to get a good light. a roll controll can be wired with a 2 step and activated off the clutch pedal with a latching relay.

-roll into the stage beam, foot on the brake, press the button to activate.
-with a 2 step, foot right down on the throtle, when the lights come down just drop the clutch, as soon as your foot moves the brakes come off and so does the 2 step.

a roll controll was actualy the next thing i was gonna do on my cavalier to make launching even easier. it already had a 2 step, but i did have a few times on the line when id end up deep staging because the car started rolling.

try using a 2-step plus heel toe shifting.... break and gas with one foot.... with a 2 step itll be rlly easy, but its still fairly simple once u get down heel toe shifting to hold ur break and use ur heel on the gass to hold a steady rpm

yea thats what i usualy do. the biggest issue at my track is during street legals they hit the lights so quickly after both cars stage you have no time ot get ready for a good launch. all that inspires people to do is not courtisy stage and be the first one into the beams.

h,mm well still line locks are kinda pointless on a fwd.... do this..... just make something to hold the ebrake button in so all u have to do is hold the ebrake and then let go and your ebrake will drop all the way/// hell even duct tape, its cheap sounding but will work. or if urs isnt a manual take the ebrake cover off(twist the ebrake and pull towards the radio) and disable the button so it doesnt work so u can hold the ebrake and then just let go nd it will full dissengage
