LNF 1/8th mile results

08 SS/TC with the following performance mods...
GM Stage 1
ZZP Intake Tube with K&N
ZZP 3" Catless downpipe
TurboXS 3" Exhaust
Synapse Upper IC pipe
I have a ZZP intercooler and lower IC pipe sitting in my garage.

Story is I didn't want to run the car today but they needed a tenth car to do some bracket racing. The car only shines in the 1/4 mile so i didnt even bother to lower the tire pressure or take the **** out of my trunk...No pics of slips cause this is some private track owned by some cheap rednecks. The track prep was awful and the printer is sketchy with no ink lol. They said come back next week and they will have it fixed. Sadly they are really struggling to make ends meet.

Last & Best run of the day was a 8.84 @ 87.18 with a 2.45 60 foot time
I launched at 1750 rpm and NLS from 1-2 & 2-3

Next best run was a 8.96 @ 86.04 with a 2.41 60 foot time
I launched at 2250 rpm and did not NLS...wheel hopped like a **** and didnt want to break anything

Anything over 2500 rpm just boiled the tires no matter how much i slipped the clutch etc.
And dont hate on the driving cause i used to drop 1.9 and 2.0 60 foot times in my Ion Redline all day every day with stock tires and suspension.

Just wanted to share the results because I found it interesting that my trap speed is close to alot of tuned cars and im only Stage 1....I will be getting the intercooler and lower cp on soon. Hopefully i will make the 2.5 hour drive to the closest 1/4 mile track before the season ends.

A few questions for thought....with a good tire setup and a better 60 foot time, does anyone think that a high 12 second run could happen with GM Stage 1?

high 12 is very, very likely with a better tire. my car back when stu owned it went 12.75@109 i think was the trap. he did it on a 2.85" pulley+boltons at i think around 255-265whp and a nitto 555r

thanks for the support and i remember hatrickstu back in the day

i love to disprove disbelievers...ive put multiple car lengths on trifecta & HP tuned locals just cause i can drive better and im not afraid to NLS cause i THANKFULLY havent missed one yet.

Skip...did you NLS on ur 12.95?
Cause u just set my 2012 goal....not only 12's but a 12.94 or better

Remember...a 12.75 has been ran on a LSJ with just GM stage 2 and a 2.85" pulley as mentioned earlier

i did nls. just on the 2-3 shift tho. if you are talking slicks for tires, then high 12's might be possible. if you are truly gms1 then those times and traps are truly impressive. BTW your goal should be 12.90. i ran 12.91 last year. lol.

that and on my old lsj, the one i owned before this one. went 8.9@89mph with ONLY a 2.8, 60s, and tune. and that was on a street tire. dyno'd 248whp before i started putting on supporting mods

12s on gms1 with boltons and a tire is more than possible

sea level and cool temps help ALOT. also sounds like you can drive. my hometown track is around 900 ft. above sea level.

Thats prob a lot better track prep than what I had. I couldn't do anything to stop spinning last time I went. By the time I could get it to stop I was at the end of the 1/8th. Just wait til you get a real tune. Your times will raise dramatically til you get sticky tires. I even had a 2.1 60' and best I ever got was a 9.1 sec 1/8th.
