Lowering for traction?

In the 1/4 mile, I have heard of people putting the footballs in the rear coils and stuff to keep the rear end from squating. Because when you take off and the rear end squats you lose weight on the front tires---therefore loss of traction
SO my question is: If you get lowering springs (nothing crazy low still wanna DD it) would that help your starts? I think the springs are stiffer so I think this would be a good idea... Tell me what you guys think!

For sure it will help. It's kinda doing the same thing as the football mod. Less weight transfer means more traction.

You still don't get more traction. The car just naturally has horrible traction. Get those footballs. Lol

They aren't THAT much stiffer. May be a tiny difference, but not that much. Footballs or drag bags are still the way to go.
