Guess My Times, Win $20!

Well, this could be fun.

About 3 weeks ago, decided to pick up a 2000 Z28 hardtop. Car has 182k miles on it, automatic with 2.73 gears. Going to see how fast it will run without touching the heads/cam/bottom end.

When I bought the car, it was bone stock. Paid a little under $3000 for it. Now, the goals is to see how fast it can go for under $6,000, with buying the car.

Here's what I have purchased and plan to run sometime at the end of this month or next month.

Mods:
LS6 intake
25% underdrive pulley
Pacesetter longtubes
CBI true x pipe with Bullits and dumped
3800 nitrous stall
SLP lid
deleted AC
deleted smog/EGR
255 Walbro fuel pump
Fuzion direct port nitrous kit
ARP rod bolts
Race Star wheels
26" slicks

So long as everything goes well and holds together, it will see a 200-250 shot. Will be spraying it out of the hole and will not be spraying it through the shifts (hoping the 4L60 stays together for 2 runs). The car will also be weighing right around 2900 without me in the car.

Before you say this isn't possible, I mimicked a build done by a friend that ran this for 2 seasons back in 2004-2005.

Should be well into the 11's if the trans doesn't take a ****. I'll say 11.4-11.5 at low to mid 120's.

If you really spray 200-250 on a stock bottom end 180,000 mile ls1 you wont even make it to the stripes the first time. Drop that to a 100 shot and go 10's

Compression test came up perfect, and rod bolts are in. This motor seems to be fine lol. There's a small bet going on a local forum. Car was a 175 shot, weighed more, 2800 stall, and stock wheels with DR's went 11.01. So, hoping it goes faster.

Whoever said "DNF" due to trans is probably right. haha

Still haven't gone. Waiting on exhaust and buying a house. It will happen this summer though.
