Me vs American Muscle?
i have two buddys who recently got a 2005 cts v with corosa exhaust and intake and another buddy with a stock gto 6.0. They are talking about wanting to race me and things of that nature. I plan on racing them at the local 1/8 dragstrip i know they will probably beat me at the dragstrip due to me spinning but what im wondering is if i will get them from a 40mph or a 60mph roll? I have full bolt ons except catback and i have a mdub 30psi spike tune.

on the 1/8 you will get slaughter up the ass (sorry).
youll be spinning half way. on a 40 or 60 might be able to get the gto, specially tuned.
cts-v, just let it go bro, dont even bother.
edit: i didnt see you were tuned, you will still lose from an 1/8th,
but you can easily get the gto, but i still dont know about the cts-v

I ran it for 15k+ miles with 0 issues. All the people who say its bad don't fully understand it. Id only hit 30psi if I did a 30 roll, that is the only time my car hit 30. Everytime else is usually 25-26 psi.
Brian (area47) wouldn't put a tune like that on my car if it was unsafe.
On that tune I've beaten a few other balts, while I had boost leaks on top of it.
That being said if anyone else aside from brian told me to get that tune I would have said no. I originally told brian no but he reassured me and he was correct on how its really not that dangerous.

Fairly certain the CTS-V is the cobalt of the $60,000 bracket. Can beat cars 4x more expensive with minor mods. But if its mostly stock, will be interesting!

i am going to the dragstrip with them and a couple local cobalts and when they do beat me at the strip i will run them from a roll. My new zzp stage 4 clutch wont make me slip like my stock did last week.

the 2005 ctsv only had 400hp and it's heavy as hell should be able to take it from a roll. as for hte GTO i'd say yes looking at what Dart_si has been able to take with a similiar setup.

the guys that im racing are more of motorcycle riders and only drove duramaxx's in the past so i doubt they are that good at driving. I think it will be a good race.

well i went to the dragstrip tonight but didnt get to race neither the gto or the cts v the gto time in the 1/8 was 9.24 @ 81 mph and the cts v time was 9.40 @ 81 mph but the cts v had traction control problems. I ran a 9.50 @ 86 mph with spinning all the way through 1st and 2nd. First time tracking the lnf. I only got 2 runs in because the cts v busted the bell housing cover and they closed the lane he was in down.
