MS3 Drag Video

Mods are in the vid. This guy ran a great time for a modded airbox, mbc set to 18psi, and no 2nd cat.

lol that viper dialed in a 11.9, it was bracket racing so the ms3 got a head start. Trust me lol its FAR off from a viper, that viper is gotta be in the 120 mph range

yea its a 3 inch. Mines the stock 2.5. As for tunning there is procedure, cpe, xede and cobbs ap is coming out towards sema. The biggest problem with the car is the cam driven direct inject fuel pump that is being maxed out right around 350whp. Once some1 cracks that some1 will crack a block and find out how strong these lil ms3 really are.

a simple boost control removes the 1st and 2nd gear boost limits set from the factory, thats why it helps so much down low. I went to the track after my boost controler and went a shitty 13.9 @ 105 lol. I launched the car like i always do to get my 2.0-2.1 60 except this time it was tire spin through 1st, i let off and bogged, shifted into 2nd spun up 2nd and bogged again. I did that 3 times and went home pissed. The guy in the video is launching from 2500rpm on slicks and having traction problems, he said he is dumping the 24.5 slick and going to a 26. My next visit to the track is going to be idle launches

nope, dynoed 311whp and 364wtq, its not a high dyno either, cause he dynoed 260 with the test pipe and airbox mod, which is on par with every1 else, then he turned up the boost to 18 and hit 309 followed by 311. The reason the car is not faster is because the stock boost limit after 5500 rpm is still there. The car redlines at 6800 but theres no point to taking it there. Once a standback coems out with throttle control i see him going into the 11 with a tbe/ic upgrade

that much power on slicks i would think should be even quicker than that yet too.

ms3 with the average driver is around 3300-3400lbs. Add **** gearing via boost limits after 5500rpm and you got a crappy powerband and a **** load of tq to try to control with your right foot

keep in mind the average bone stock ms3 makes 240whp and only traps 100-101. A cobalt with 240whp is trapping 104-105

lol the ms3 is a lil porker, along with the new caliber srt4. It seem liek all the new cars are getting heavier and heavier. I miss my specv that weighed in at 2740 with me in it. What are you guys? right around 2950?
