My First Night @ Track 07 / New PB

After digging my cobalt ss/sc out of the snow the past 3 days I thought it would be fun to head out to Cecil County MD for the opening night. I figured the roads were well enough now to take her out. This was the first chance I had to run my stage II in which before with stock power I hit 14.2s consistanly. I was very upset because my first few runs were slower then stock power. I thought how could this be?!? I trapped at 105, 106, and 107 but I still could not hit a 13 second time. Finally in the middle of the night I decided to light up the stock tires and just burn them to shreds. Sure enough I ran a 13.7, soon after 13.6s. I was able to run consistant 13.6s all night long. I was very happy with Stage II and I'm glad I invested the 520 bucks into it. Was well worth installing it myself. Stage II = Now time to get some drag radials and knock off a few tenths. I''ll post the 3 top runs I had of the night when I have some more time. Good night everyone ZZZzZzz....

Nice times. Can't wait to get Stage II! Isn't it a little cold to be at the strip?

LOL, yea thanks man. It was way to cold. Alot of people left, thats why I ended up getting like 15 passes. Superchargers love the cold air too. The tires hate the cold though.

I could of sworn you were there, ohh well will look forward to seeing you at the track. We need a cobalt meet at Cecil County or Maple Grove. Some reason I feel more people will make it to MD. Would be awesome! Some Redline guy was there bragging and then something broke on his car. I know he was running a 2.6 and 60pounders and drag radials. He was running 13.5s all night. Was awesome to run 13.6s on all GM parts.

I have my doubts about your times/speeds. I have intake/exhaust/stage II/a damper installed/lowered/and upgraded to a bit gummier tires(have not had any passes on the new tires yet though).....I'm also at a fairly low altitude here in the Seattle are and I race this car fairly regularly at the strip.
You can see my bests in my sig so far on about 35-40 passes in my car. No way you are pulling 108+ MPH with the same or less mods than I have..I just can't see it. Ya never know these days but unless you are running a 2.6 pulley with HP Tuners..I really have not found a significantly faster car than mine with the same mods. A 2.45 60' and still pulling a 13.7 when I had to pull a 2.09 to get that same ET and I'm still running about 3-5 MPH less than you say you're running. I call BS. Not trying to be a dick, but the math simply does not work out with your mods. I have all the slips to back up all my runs. Do you? would like to see em, not to be a dick but I'd like to see your 60'/330'/...etc to see where your picking up all your time and at what speeds. I can drive this car and I know I'm getting just about every hundredth it's capable of and I cant see how you're #'s can be reached. Just an observation, I really HOPE you are not fibbin, I'd love to say there are stage II Cobalts pushin 108+ at 13.6's........but at 13.6ish at you should be 103-104. If you're running 108 you should easily be 12.9-13.1 easily. BUT with 2.37-2.45 60' times. NO WAY

With my mods, I would think that those numbers at worst would be a bit low, that the interceptor posted.

Everyone who keeps trying to call me out go ahead and not support the cobalt. I don't know what to tell you but I trapped at 108.08 with all GMP bolt ons and stage II. I don't have my manifold installed yet. I'm telling you the truth and I have my slips in my scanner right now. Either I am a better driver or my car is just quicker for some reason. I think anyone with stage II could do it, its just a matter of shifting at the right points. Will have slips posted very soon, thats a promise. I just need someone to tell me how to post them, have the slips saved on my computer right now...anyone?

Yea, I have the Kings of the Street sticker on my windshield. Its my car club. I'm the only street car with the sticker because everyone else has the stickers on like 7-9 second cars that only run on the track lol. I have some experaince in those cars and trust me some of the guys showed me how to drive the **** out of my cobalt. Thanks alot for the support, next time I see you there maybe I can give you some tips. That night with the conditions I bet you could run a stock time of 14.2s or better.

BUMP TIME SLIPS UP. No more hating now. Just accept that it can be done with Stage II and GMPP exhaust. There is your proof. It can be done, our cobalts rock! Gain the respect the tuner world will see soon. 12 second slips with all GMPP parts comming soon.

What mods you got? I think most peopel are breaking with smaller pullies then the GM stage II and 60lbs injectors running slicks or drag radials. IMO Stage II and all GMP bolt ons with drag radials is most they can take. Not 100% sure atm but I'll find out
