My stock 2010 SS losing to a CRX :(

Well as the title says I lost to a Honda CRX. He is all motor on top of that I believe this run I ran a 14.1 at 102.

Whoops. Surprised that it made it down all the way. Usually I see a honda break at or 60' off the line. Or it just cruises down the strip cause something else went wrong hahaha.

That's so funny you say that. Last time I went to the track there was a Honda Club there. They appreciated my car, no hate was given to me. I kid you not 4 Civics all from this club either blew when warming up their drag radials, or right before they hit 60'

Crazy. One I saw sparks flying from what looks like the intercooler.

hahaha I went to a test and tune session and there was this hatchback civic there with an excessively big turbo and in the staging lanes he's having trouble getting it started. Then in the burnout box it stalls. Finally it breaks at the line and pulls off to the side. Need I remind you this was all in the same session not made a pass went back and random stuff happened hahaha. That's why I'm leaving mine stock since I have my other car for the strip and I use the Cobalt for the High Performance driving schools at Summit Point, Watkins Glen, New Jersey Motorsports Park, and whatever local courses there are.

Yep the pleasures of both worlds. The ones I go to are BMW club events and either I'm hanging with them, going by them, or giving them a hard time while they go by me. Then the always favorite question, "What's been done to the car?" response,"Nothing just a drop in filter, Hawks HP+ Brakes all around, and Hankook RS3 street tires."

There's one guy that runs 9s with a all motor hatch. They're light as crap so they don't need that much horsepower.

lol I loved hot lapping in my old B16 swapped CRX. I pissed so many people off because the car was so light, quick for what it was, and could do it consistanly pass after pass! I wouldn't feel too bad though because it has over 800lbs of weight advantage compared to you.

You guys in Pottstown must hide. When I was up there nobody was around. Actually PA period, and when the rare time I did come across a Cobalt did happen they never wanted to play.

I don't know about anyone else in the area but I don't usually get on the road to go home until 7 in the afternoon. And I don't play unless it's clear or at the track. That's just my thing.

What happened at 2nd gear? It looks like you stopped to take a dump......

I remember running a CRX on a mexican highway once, when I was in my old "gently modified" second gen f-body. He thought he was all that, light car and all, until he found out what "aerodynamic drag" was....

And still - my favorite CRX vid -

So, you're embarassed that you lost in a stock TC to a car that probably makes almost as much or possibly more whp than you in a car that most likely weighs 1000 lbs less? No reason to be upset you lost, he had a much better power to weight ratio than you.
