Getting closer to a 12 second 1/4 mile run on street legal setup. I could use a driver mod, and have gotten some pointers from Dylan Sigue along with more tune tweaking from 09 cobaltSS. Ran 4 times and best were 13.10 and 13.13. The 13.13 run I have posted the slip for was against a ls powered late 90's Camaro running nitrous. I won but not by a lot. Wed I won all 4, even though I missed a shift on 2 runs, beating a ms3, late 90's and mid 90's Camaro and a newer charger r/t. So all was not lost. On current setup I'm sure I could hit 12's with the slicks I had, was just trying to do it street legal. Still spinning a little much off the line. 13.13 run I didn't nls any gears.

nice times man. whats your boost set at in 1st and 2nd?

 

It was at 15 in 1st, and it goes to 27 in 2nd at the top of boost ramp, settles in at 25, then fades to about 22 at 6,500. My peak power is at 6,000.

 

Try taking your boost down in 2nd a little bit to maybe 20-22. It will still spin but might not soon as much lol. Or calm that spike down a little bit lol. I know on mine in 2nd gear we didn't have it spike or boost as much and it helped me out

 

I spin out of the hole, but with drag radials at 16-18psi I don't spin in 2nd. My Street tires are totally different. Haha.

 

oh ok well yeah those slicks def help then if you arent spinning in 2nd haha. thats what i thought you were on lol. if your on street tires and your spiking 27psi you wont be getting any traction haha.

 

Can you adjust your waste gate to make more boost up top in 3rd?

 

Nope, it's maxed.

 

Dont worry about your reaction time. Work on that 60ft time and you will be in the 12s with ease

 

Until I get really smooth I don't even worry about the guy in the other lane and sometimes just let them go.

 

Get that 60' down to a low 2.1 and you have a 12. I'd be launching at as low an RPM as possible without bogging. I know how hard that can be, my 300ZX was bog or boil on street tires lol

 

Plan to wait for it to cool down and then attack it with slicks.
