yeah i had a 3.2 60ft because i was spinning bad and try'd to get out of it by going into second that lead to some nice clutch slip. I have all my bases covered though now i have almost every damn mod for the car lol.

i think my slips are scanned in my gallery my traps were ok but i was spinning so much it was making them low in the quarter

Looks like my slips from last season, you have the trap you need. Just hafta air down them tires a bit and get your 60's where they belong.

Do you do a burnout at all? I never used to but, I have done at least a little one everytime this season, and I did a pretty decent one on my best pass. I'm still undecided on how helpful they are, but It felt to me like doing a better burnout helped me to stay hooked when I was finally able to go wot in 1st and 2nd.

i have not been able to go wot in first since i was stock lol. I did not do any burnouts before i thought roasting my tires half way down the track would suffice haha. Some ppl say it helps others don't because of the compound of the tire but if it works for you thats awesome you got yourself one fast balt

^^It's a great feeling when she finally hooks up.

After installing the traction bars, was the first time I was ever able to go WOT in first. Stock the wheelhop was too crazy for it, and after all the mounts it was all spin.

i just don't like the fact of having to drill into my car. I heard some good things and bad things like they make squeking nosie's all the time

^^That was always my big hang up too. But I had the control arms out for the CABs anyways, so I figured what the hell. The arms have an I-beam like cross-section, so I'm not too worried about the hole degrading the structural integrity at all. And I de-burred and radiused all the edges after drilling, so there should be little to no risk of cracking.

So far mine have been quiet, but if they get squeeky I might pull them and use them for track days only, (the install is ~10 minutes, lol)

All of my mods are listed in my vBGarage <------

but for traction, I have INTENSE poly CABs and trans bushings. Ingal's ETD, and now the Bwoody TB's

I don't get a shred of wheelhop. So I think I'm ready for DR's, but I wanna see how low of a 60' I can pull on the stock tires first.

^Not a bad idea, but the chromolloy ends that Bwoody uses are actually fairly costly, and the center sections are higher grade aluminum, so I didn't feel too offended by the price . I probably could have built them cheaper too, but oh well.

Lemme know if you start looking into building a set, I can pull some measurements off of mine for ya. I helped a guy build his own CABs this way too, lol

^^^There is a how-to on www. cobaltss .com (remove the spaces) that shows exactly where they mount and such.

But when I get a chance I'll get ya some dimension off of mine. If I'm feeling nice I'll even convert em to Metric for ya, lol

I personally think the INTENSE trans bushings are one of in not the best wheel hop mod for the money. I didn't do the solid motor mounts for fear of crazy vibes.

Good Luck man

welcome to the club! traction is the way to go, and you can definately pull a 2.0 on stock tires i usually ran 2.0-2.1 on the stock dunlops that came on the redline.
13.57 @ 106 is my best so far, seems like we are right there together.

What are you guys shifting at with stage 2 kits to trap 105 mph and i think you are probably still in 3rd trapping 105 or just into 4th? I need to get to a dyno to see where the power curves are as I dont think shifting right before rev limiter goes off is the right rpms for stage 2 maybe.
