Talking New p.b. tonight - 13.2 @ 105 (Redline)

Got a new personal best e.t. and trap tonight at Mission Raceway
13.286 @ 105.09
with a 1.965 60'

conditions were very ideal tonight but we could only run till 930pm because temperatures dropped quickly and the dew set in.

I had 2 good runs, and 3 horrible runs, my stock clutch is now slipping in 3rd gear....

I guess I owe some credit to the Bwoody boys cuz the only thing I've changed since my last time out is install the front tranny mount

in-car vid clip:
sorry about the crappy sound quality, I'm trying to use a digital camera but it doesn't seem to pick up sound as well as my old 8mm camera.....

no, it was stage2, downpipe, exhaust, and a couple other things.
He said he had a boost leak to deal with yet.

well that's just the frustration of it ! - it hasn't been tuned yet...
I'm just running a bastardized gm stage tune
all the timing and fuel is stock gm tune, and I have disabled all of the torque mgmt and bumped the rev limit a bit.
Also, I ran a gallon of 103 unleaded tonight too, that seemed to give it a little kick I think.

I tried a couple of 'canned' tunes earlier in the summer (they weren't made for my car specifically) but I had to remove them due to so much knock retard (5-8 degrees constantly)
so that's a project for the winter and spring.....

if the guy in the SRT could drive he would be doing a mid 13 too. A 2.447 sixty foot and still a 14.1. Usualy these run 2.1 sixty's at my track stock and on stock tires.

yeah, he was a nice guy, he and his bud had come down from Bellingham WA to try to get a few runs in before the end of the season hits.
You can see how he was making good power up to the 1/8th mile and then his trap speed kinda shows how his top end power just wasn't happening on that run, probably a symptom of his boost leak I would say.

Congrats!!!

Looks like there is going to be a ton of 12 sec cars soon. It's all about traction...

Nice in-car video also.

very nice run!!...maybe after a tune you can break into the high 12s, those slicks sure do help out though, what size of slicks are you running??

yeah, I keep seeing all the guys with working tunes getting those high trap speeds - I'm real envious of that!!
I could make real good use of the higher trap speeds!!

oh well, it all just takes time to figure it out and make it work.

my slicks are 26x9.5x16
(can you say 'humongous'?)

Most excellent.

Just a short curly away from the 12's.

Clutch and tune and it should happen fairly easily.
