shaferz ran low 13's. didnt see any exact times, but for his bracket raceing he was dialed in at 13.05 and 13.15. so maybe around 13.20-25?he was spraying as far as i could tell.

Nice stock times man. How much track time do you have? I ran a 14.6 first run ever and was happy with it. However I really want to run a 14.4-14.3 stock. Any tips on how you ran such a great time? Launch? Took weight out?

14.6 is a great stock time as well seeing as most people on here are running like 14.7 as PBs. I took out my spare tire... thats all for weight... yet i weigh about 240 lol so if you are a lean person its like leaving the tire in haha. i put my tire pressure in the front down to 26-27 and aired the back tires up to about 42-43. I launched at about 1700-1800 rpm. if you wheel hop try to get off right away then back on the second the hop stops. um.... i cant stress the fact of getting your shifts perfect... ive got it to where i dont even feel the shift its so fast yet sometimes i feel like im gonna break the shifter off goin into 2nd lol. oh..... and TRACK CONDITIONS!!! it was about 55-60 today with like 60% humidity and low barometric pressure i believe. goto the track with 1/4 or so of gas.... if your shifting ito 2nd and your clutch is slipping... DONT KEEP THE GAS DOWN TILL IT CATCHES!!! OMFG!! people are retards.... get off the gas! (nobody specificly targeted here). other factors that can affect your times are things like altitude. i was at 663' which is pretty good.

oh and for another tip.... if you are on stock tires... dont go through the water box, drive around it and just spin the tires a few times to clean em off..... i got better 60fts on the times i didnt go through the waterbox..... we dont have slicks or drag radials, we dont need to heat em up like we do.

Thanks for the tips, I'm heading to Maple Grove, PA tomarrow and I really want to beat my last track times. I only have two runs in my life at the track and I hit a 14.6. I really want to be in consistant 14.4s. I took off from idle and did not smoke my tires off. I really hope launching at 1.5k-2k rpms and heating my tires up drops off 2 tenths or so. Can't wait, I can't sleep...
