so stu and myself went to centerville 1000 ft track and made a few passes. i hit my goal for the stock cobalt of breaking 11. i got 11.99 not too bad considering i still has the spare and the jack and i was on the stock tires. the best part was it was against stu's ss/sc. he has the white time slip so he will put it up for me we also have a lot of video of it. stu will edit it and get it on streetfire. well anyways i hope i can get that time lower.

 

That is good. In my car i did the 1000FT in 11.92 and my 1/4 time was a 14.1

 

I witnessed this time.. it was a good day at the track for both of them... Just wish we would have gotten a crack at some of those GT mustangs.. Stu is editing the video tonight.. But congrats on the time and maybe we can go back again soon ..

heck yes we will go back i wanna get to where the old z is if possible haha. 11.8 would be damn amazing in a stock cobalt. thanks it was a ball. yeah stu got himself a respectable 12.01 with a higher trap speed than me when i ran the 11.99.

 

Hopefully i can do better than i did this time. going to do a little bit of maintenance on the z... hopefully i can save up enough to swap out the turbos either with some new stockers or a small upgrade.. the ones i have now are the stockers and they are gettin pretty weak.,,

 

yeah my gf was sick so i didnt get that much done yet, im working on it... and just to see something here is a question...
is there anyone else on here that has run a sub 12-second 1000 foot in a close to stock ss/sc? and im counting close to stock as like nothing more than a muffler swap

 

yeah all that shaft play is not working for you at all.

 

No.. it sounds like rocks in a coffee can.. it makes me sick.. but times are still decent tho.. but it should be runnin closer to 11.5 or less so the power loss is noticable

 

Cool man. I have not goten to run my car yet but I will soon. But I will have wheels and tires done by the week end so I will not be stock any more.
