new personal best

well its my personal best time, but im not happy because i kept missing 4th gear. so i would have a clean run all the way till 4th gear whoo.

also, id like to say that hptuners > trifecta. there was a ss/tc there that had a trifecta 25psi tune and similar mods to me. he had a clean run (no missed gears, similar 60' to mine) and ran a best of 13.1 @ 107mph.

i ran 13.3 @ 105 with 4th gear completely locking me out and somewhat bogging the 1/2 shift.

with that being said i know if i got a clean run in i could easily run a 12.8 or better.

my best 60' of the night was a 2.1 and i run 255 35 18 hankook ventus v12's.

i think its time for me to stop using NLS also, i can get the 2-3 NLS but 4 out of 4 times 4th gear locked me out while trying to perform a NLS. i only got 4 runs in today too.

I NLS every time I go to the track. Still holding a 12.6@110, 2.1 60foot.

lol. wasnt the tunes fault. i suspect faulty shifter linkage. i used to have a trifecta 24 psi tune and when i was just on 20psi with hptuners the car was just as fast. now im on the 30 spike.

Not impressed, but having issues will do that.

All in the tune, I ran a 13.1 @ 110 with my 22 psi trifecta tune with just a drop in k&n and catted dp.

Got a retune a few months ago a more aggressive trifecta 24 psi tune with a k & n sri, and same catted dp ran a 12.74 @ 114 on street tires so far so I'm happy with mine for the moment.

Good runs Dart get your shifting worked out and you will best your best .

Just saying with your power, I was expecting a lot higher trap, and faster ET.

That being said I didn't know you coasted it out. I hope you get your tranny issues figured out man.

You should be high 300 to 400tq. That car has a ton more left in it in the 1/4. I personally don't care much about track times. We don have a track in St. Louis.

Yeah with GMS1 I did something like 14.1 @ 107MPH... terrible launch. But high trap speed...

1/4 mile statistics are perplexing to me. As far as I can tell with a good launch that would have been a 13.4 run at least.

i have my timeslip:

60' ---- 2.202
330---- 5.927
1/8 ---- 8.73
mph --- 88.77
1000 --- 11.122
1/4 ----- 13.303
mph ---- 105.59

so i still need to improve on some things, like my launch, and i think i bounced off 1st gear a little too because im not used to the car hooking in 1st gear like it somehow did.

Most folks that are tuning/building for performance, don't like "dyno numbers" and prefer track times as they are a more accurate measure of power.
Not because you're running drag radials, or track prep which obliterates street conditions. But because trap speeds are the best indicator of advances. Even a sheit launch won't drop your traps much if at all.

Additionally, if you don't like track times, why are you in the drag racing section?

am sure you can do much better than that man. ur not the only one with this kind of stuff happening. my personal best so far is 13.8 @ 110mph lol that been my first time at the track with alot of traction issues and on 16-17psi. but now u know where ur weak points are so u can try to fix em.
