I just ready a couple threads on some fbody/ect forums late last night like I said I did this for fun. I never said I would run them times if I went to the strip today. Though if you guys want to compare real ET's I ran 8.3 @ 95mph in the 1/8 on streets not even spooling to till 20mph on just 21/22psi.(2nd time at the track) low boost traps are high enough for 11's

Again, Just a way to waste a Thursday night. If your going to "hate" take it to PM.

Oh my lord. So why are you on this forum anyways? haha never figured that one out yet.

It's times like tonight when I come home from switching around exhaust housings, watch this video, and think to myself... Damn...I must be doing something wrong? :/

I just see alot of paper racing going on.... blah blah blah, this = a 11.... go run an 11... then you will run 11's. Theres a skittle around here that claims its an 11 sec car, its a great roll racer, but every time its at the track it either breaks something or runs a 13 @ hundred and teens. So as far as I am concerned, its a 550WHP 13 sec car.

So run some 11's, and you will have an 11 sec car. I know your car is fast, but post up some real times.

Did I say my trap on low boost ='s 11's? I said it was enough to hit 11's.

I will make it out eventually. Just waiting on the group to get together and make time. Looks like I will have a set of slicks to borrow as well. Whether the car is capable of more or not I would be happy with just a ~11.6 @ 123mph. That shouldn't be out of the question with a thread I saw earlier, guys running the same turbo and ran a 11.6 at right at 122mph on 109/25psi. My car is currently 112/29psi. Guess I will just have to wait and see, all I know is it's a huge diff than last time I was at the strip. I only drive the car 1-2 times a week so it's gutted for the season.

Nice numbers, PD! Those numbers will be very close to your actual track ET. It's arguably tougher to run a faster et on the rollers anyway due to trying to hook on metal rollers. The dyne software will apply the appropriate load to the rollers to compensate for weight and other natural resistance. I remember what you ran in the 1/8th, and the 1/8th is much harder to run a good et in over the 1/4. Your pretty much just along for the ride on the big end. You other guys need to chill and do a little research before you flame too much. He already said it will produce different numbers on the track and it was for fun. And guess what, I drive a fukn tbss and I'm on here too, OMFG!

We are cobalt owners , we only like things that are true. Just go read some of the wonderful stories we post in the war stories section because everyone knows our lightly modded 300 whp cars can out run almost anything. *ok end sarcasm*

People are just busting your ***** , your car is nice imo and doing a loaded dyno to simulate your times if fun. Now do the supporting suspension work and get the right slicks on there and actually put those numbers down .

People put down the skittles because now a days it is just a average teenager who buys one for hella cheap then gets the parts for cheap to make it over 400 whp without other supporting suspension mods and goes to the track and puts down 13's or even 14's at times. But most know that they can be super fast if set up right you just can't take the **** talking to heart.

They just get hurt there 4000.00 TVS's only make 350whp and cant do anything but stand pretty by there cars because they cant drive for ****. Dont bother with most of them, but on the other hand I cant wait till you get to the track. SRT's trannies are way stronger to start off with so I doubt you break like most cobalts will.

This ^^^ And people need to read before they start busting *****.. I don't think you will have any problem running those times with DR or slick. Also you didn't post how much WHP your putting down but i know its enough for 11's with proper setup.

Haha, thanks. I can't wait to get it to the strip either, though it won't compare to your times on the new setup. I shocked that there aren't that many set-ups/build like yours. My set-up is still pretty mild in the Neon world in comparison to alot.

It was 378whp 398ft-lbs on a Mustang Dyno. So say there is a 11-12% between a Dynojet it would be around 420ish with alot more Tq. Though before I run it or redyno I plan on getting the TB/Spacer/IM ported/polished along with a fresh tune up including wire, plugs, coil, etc. I'm also going to ditch the Balancing chain, that's claimed for 10whp alone. I mean it's nothing that crazy but it's fun to me.

You mean my times wont compare to yours lol. Remember what I just said, the srt's trannies are not a pos like the cobalts lol. I hope mine dont break but I am ready if it does.

I have to worry as well. I know a guy that killed his trans on a S3 set up. Though he has been running 11's at around 120 for along time(a lot of passes). Though he was cutting a 1.6X 60'. Though there are a bunch of options if it goes, I just hate to spend the money.

Has ZZP offered theirs yet? I haven't heard anyone else working on one. I haven't checked your build thread lately, still shooting for 600+whp?

Well if the trans stays together you should pull some really good times with that power. I'm currently tuned on 110/112, race gas gets really expensive. hah

Yeah, I have the DSP so I can switch on the fly. 23psi/93octane for DD and 29psi/race gas for fun. It takes like 1min to switch tunes, then I just have to hook the laptop to the Boost box and change the boost in the gears.
