Drag racing tips?
So tonight is the first night our local track is open, unfortunately, it's only a 1/8 mile. Regardless, I'm stoked to get back on the track. I've ran my fully bolted automatic Cobalt at the track multiple times...I'm not new to the track scene, but I am to the Cobalt SS/TC on the track...I learned how to drive a stick when I rolled my car off the lot in early Febuary, so I'm not the most proficient driver, however I'm much better at romping on it than I am with smooth city driving. So basically I was hoping I could get some tips for launches and such...I am tuned to 25psi so I'm expecting to spin quite a bit...just for reference my RPD is reading 350hp and 360tq (crank) so tips for an overpowered FWD car please? lol
one of my friends who also drives a TC said that his best times where from a granny start...? comments?

dont use launch control
hold down traction untill it says esc off
I skip the 1-2 nls but you could hit the 2-3 nls, on 25 psi thats your call
Drive around the water box with no burnout
go from a idle, go from 2k rpm, go from 3 k rpm you should be able to recognize your own sweet spot
Your going to be frustrated
Some tips for after you've hit the track a few times
footballs in your rear springs

thats what i do when I bracket race.
not to get off point but you dont need to hold the button to get the traction control off or to get into comp mode. just hit it once and tc turns off hit it again within 5 seconds and ur in comp mode.
Be advised about the dangers of NLS
Especially going into 3rd if your tuned or have an aftermarket clutch
I left most of my trans fluid on the highway and all of my 3rd gear in the bottom of my trans when i last used it

I havent used my NLS yet in fear i'd do somehting like that
people use launch control to build the boost up. i leave the line at 4500RPM at 15lbs of boost with my foot on the floor, side step the clutch and all it does is chirp the tires for a 1.842 60foot. but then again thats on slicks.
