SS/TC vs Mustang GT w/ 351 swap

This is not the greatest video of the night but this mustang had a 351 swap w/ full bolt ons. I must say this car was on a full street tire and did not hook very well. I jumped him by about 4-6 cars but when I looked back he was pulling on me so I know he was making some power. If he had some sticky rubber I bet he would have taken me by I few cars.

I only got to run 3 times and wasn't able to work on my launch like I wanted due to the place being packed and they were rushing everyone through. As soon as you tripped the beam they would start the tree much like in pro nhra. So with not even revving and a 2.2 60' time I was running a 8.6 @ 86 mph. I feel pretty confident that I can achieve a 2.0 or better 60' and drop my et's to low 8's.

8.6 at 86mph
86mph seems really high for 8.6
8.6 seems really low considering your 60ft time was a 2.2

another note, I tried sooo hard to get a 1.9 60ft on street tires. i got really close, and i was at one of the best tracks in the world, but im beginning to think it is impossible. are you on street tires?

ide like to see the time slips so i can analyze it, and if you had a video i might be able to help ya get the launch down at least to where i was. .2 sec off of a 6foot is an ass ton.

My 1/8 mile time from saturday looks like this
8.48@82.2mph
1.842 60ft
5.51 330

1/4 mile times will come up this coming weekend... due to the wind on sat. they put us at 1/8mile. never raced it before.

EDIT: when i say a video, i was talking about a video outside the car so we can see what the tires were doing and hear how youre puttin the hammer down.

And my seconds are 8.7 so wtf lol..60 ft is 2.23

I'm running Hoosier 245/45-17" dr's. They are what most call a cheater slick. Let me see if I can get a decent pic of my slip with my phone.

Ok here is one of my slips. I hate the way they do the slips at this track. Instead of getting the proper paper they just cut it in half.

Its not really odd at all.... I run an 8.5 at almost 88MPH w/ a 2.2 60 ft. Not every car is an SS/SC, the TC's traps look different because our power-band is different.

See timeslips below for reference: (on street tires, with just tune and AB mod + E85)

hoosier QTP's are the cheater slicks. All they are is their regular slick only with a few lines in it (wrinkle walls) and they are freaking ****!

the Drag Radials are a radial tire with a soft compound so they have stiff sidewalls.
