Now I know this isnt exactly accurate

But I thought i would give it a try. Me and a friend decided to take my car on a side road to show him what I did to my car and I reset my trip ometer friend timed with a watch we went and told him to stop timing about a sec. after it turned 000.2 miles and came out to between 13-14 secs. Now I know this is not a good way to judge your 1/4 mile time. But I figured ahh what the hell I havent got to go to the track yet. Would be nice to se mid 13's in at this elevation. but who knows. just kinda fun to try it out.

shouldn't it be about .3.3 for the quarter. And if you are trying to get a rough estimate that way then dont spin your tire at all cause that adds to the mileage.

I would pick up a G-Tech they are really cool and tell you all kinds of info. If you have a pretty flat road its very accurate. When I use mine its usally within .2 of what I run at the track.

Sorry for the late post. You can pick one up at Advanced Auto atleast that is where I got mine. I bought the SS which is $200 since I was going to be loading the info on my computer there was no need to spend an extra $100 for the RR.

Like I said if your on a flat road it is very accurate, I used it at the drag strip and it was right on the money. Most roads will be .1-.2 +/- since most roads will have a slight dip hill to them.

It will still give you a pretty good idea on where you're at.
