Hey everyone. The west coast phase5 ran out at irwindale again this past thursday and ran some good numbers after our switch malfunction out at Fontana a couple weeks ago. We ran 7.60 and 7.63 out at the 1/8 mile, we were excited to have it be so consistent. We will be out at Irwindale on Sunday for the Summit series race if anyone can make it out. Hey Everyone! Just wanted to give you the updated schedule for this weekend. We will be testing the Cobalt at Irwindale Dragstrip tonight (Thursday). On Saturday, we will be at Fontana for the Battle of the Imports race, and then on Sunday, we will be back at Irwindale for the Summit Series Race. Hopefully we will be able to see a few of you out there! I'll be sure to post our times and results for you guys! I hope everyone is doing well. take care

Im not sure what you ran on Saturday but I did see one pass in the mid 11's where the car normally runs anyway.

Have you beaten your best pass yet in the car?

I was thinking about jumping on a Phase 5 program with a twist, but wanted to see your car run first and ask a ton of questions.

I had such an awesome time out at BOTI. It was a great day. We didnt get to beat our best time, the heat was killing us! It was throwin' our 60' times off just a bit. We will definately be pushing to come to the three socal events u named. We wont be at Irwindale this Thursday, but we will be there a week from then. Hope to see you there! Also, we are going to have the cobalt on display at the Goodguys show at Pomona. Ill be racing my 66' Nova out there, but we are going to have the cobalt out there for pictures and answering questions. Love to see any of you out there if you can make it! Take care!

 

Oh okay, I need to swap engines anyway and prolly won't make it to Iriwndale...

I'll try and make the Goodguys show and see the car up close.

I just want to see what it will do because the Sport FWD/Street Comp/Turbo 4 crowd is no joke. Most cars are around 2300lbs. and make 500-600hp.

Seems to me the Phase 5 is a little heavy right now but like I said you and Brittney haven't run these cars to the limit yet so its hard to say just how fast they are.

Heres a little more Cobalt Phase5 news for ya. We ran a Summit race out at Irwindale the other day, and unfortunately we went out first round. =( the good news, is that we went out because we went much faster than we said we were going to go. We ended up running a 7.37 @ 96mph on the eighth! Very exciting. So now that the season is starting to slow down, we are going to start being more aggressive with the boost and start turning out faster times. Hope all is well! Take care
