Phase5 took home wally in florida

Hey guys-
This weekend we were pitting with Gary Gardella in West Palm Beach Florida. We entered the Phase5 in the quick 16 class and we took home the win! It was very exciting to see other cobalts out there as well. We are going to be in Richmond, VA April 22-23. If anyone can come out there for the event, definately come by and say hello! Hope everyone is doing well..

Nice what kind of times did run to win Quick 16?

I'm hoping to enter that class myself when it hits a track near me. I'd be interesting if we ended up lining up next to one another...

BTW, looks like I'll be switching to an Automatic Transaxle as well; the manual transmission just isn't up to the repeated abuse of 4500+ rpm launches.

That would be really fun to be matched up against another cobalt! The more the merrier. We left the boost at 22lbs for qualifying and we ran two 11.553 during two sessions. During eliminations, i rolled out of it so i wouldnt lower my dial in any more. So we ran low 12's. The last run we left the boost at 22lbs and ran a 11.49. The car was perfect this weekend! Hope all is well. Let me know how the auto trans works out for you.

Nice. 11.5 is definitely getting it. Esp for a full weight "streetable" FWD car.

If it's not giving away secrets, are you running a full manual valve body and what is your torque converter's stall speed? I'm trying to make some decisions about mine and I'm thinking close to a 3k stall speed would be about right, but I'm not sure about driving around town, since my car is still a daily driver... or will be once it's all back together.

The best thing to do would be to contact Coan Converters (www.coanracing.com or 765-456-3957). Give them the info about your car and they'll direct you to the right stall speed. 3K sounds about right, but it will be a little soft on the street. Good luck. Let me know how it works out.
