Preloading & non locking ebrake

I have been preloading for a lil while now and I have noticed that these cars dont react well if something goes wrong and you dont get the e brake down all the way (broken axles). So I was wondering what others were doing to combat that possibility.

I have seen some ppl remove the button all together but essentially you lose the functionality of your e brake and that is no bueno in my daily driver.

I would like to use one of these:
http://www.240sxmotoring.com/cunidrknfore.html

that way I could keep the functionality of my e brake and be able to just push the handle down with out worrying about the brake locking and breaking things when im at the race track.

any advice or thoughts of a way that I could get one of these to work for me would be appreciated,

thanx,
PD
