running a 13 s flat 1/4?

I went to the strip yesterday for the first time and my best time was 14.3 @ 106.7 and my best 60' was 2.2 with GMS1, intake and 3" turbo back and cheap performance all season tires. I made many mistakes and one guy said that the strip I went to is 0.2-0.3 s slower than another strip he ran at, so I'm very sure I can break into 13's with my current setup at a better strip + practice. my question is, with very good (street) tires, charge pipes, and trans mounts, does anyone think I can get a 13 s flat ET or very low 13's?

If your trap speed is 106.7, you should easily be in the 13 second range. On all season tires, I ran 13.6 with about that same trap speed.

yea, like I said, I'm sure I can break into 13's with my current setup but I was wondering if I can take it to 13.0 - 13.1 on street tires and no custom tune, just GMS1

yea, you're probably right, unfortunately. I looked at the drag thread and all of them are tuned but I thought I would ask to see if others have aimed for low 13's or never tried. I don't think too many people get the most out of GMS1 because the majority want to keep their cars pretty much stock and no mods like you for warranty and resale (and myself for almost the first year of ownership before I got sucked into modding lol) or don't bother because the know they can't get the full potential without a custom tune.

what tires were you on? did you have any mods besides GMS1 or all stock? sounds less and less likely lol I guess my goal should be a 13.6-13.8

everything in my sig., minus the tires and intake, i ran plenty of 13.9s on that setup with bald contintals that dint have a tread showing, went back with the intake and tires, wasnt beating on the car since i was hours away from home, ran a 14.0 at 103 with 2.6 60 fts lol, 13.6-13.8 she should run all day

dont forget track prep is major and depends where u live and air temps etc.

Alot of the TC's down here with similar setups run around 14.5-14.0 Depending on the driver. I can say based on 2.2 60' your not bad, I've seen a lot of guys with horrid 60's I'm talking 3.0 and such. My fastest run to date is a 13.36 @ 110.84 with a 2.26 60' on street tires with my sub and amp still in the trunk, passenger seats, a mountain dew.... Drop the PSI in your tires a lil bit and you may come closer to your goal, but you will still need a tune and maybe a few parts.

I'm full boltons, with vary little FWD drag experience.
