Silly Vette owners, always gotta race the cars that are 1/2 their price and are usually a full litre or more of less motor. Please though guy, I could have bought a newer c6 or older Z06 if I wanted too, but why, I already have my 05 Mustang GT and with its mods now can run 12's, and with a few more bolt ons should be in the mid 12 range. And then I bought a nice little turbo'd 4 banger for alittle fun.

my comment was aimed at the asshat who was laughing about a cobalt that needed 2 power adders to beat his car. and now you're breaking it down to price and liters. always looking for a crutch or an excuse, but since you replied, it's not my fault ford fucked up and gave the ***** ass mustang gt a 300 bhp v8. soooo, quit taking your butt hurt aggression out on me.

On bottle i should kill anything stage 2 or less.

Hell that FNFAST dude is the fastest balt on the timeslip thread and hes probably only a couple tenths faster than I am in the 1/4 and he has 2 power adders ROFL!
^^^^ what an asshat statement.

Sure it takes more for a smaller engine to go fast, but dont call my crap slow when i run faster on motor with a couple boltons than most of the people on this site do with gobs of boost and other mods.
your crap is slow as ***** to a lot of poeple. the funny thing is, you're on a cobalt forum trying to prove yourself. loser.

It may have been aimed towards him, which I can understand, but sometimes you just gotta keep the laughing to yourself. Oh and I'm not butthurt, I just get tired of some people always talking **** about how their LS1, LS2 or any other LSx motor beats up on Mustangs and other cars, well no ****, look at the difference in motor. I'm pretty sure I can drop in a 400+ cubic inch motor into a fox body and run low 12's to high 11's with ease. Ford f*cked up with almost every Mustang up until 03 when the Cobra came out, and then the Mach 1 and the new 05+ GT's. But we'll wait til 2010 or 2011 when Ford actually ups the motor size to a 6.1L and then we'll see where the Mustang is.

futureecotec dont kid yourself on thinking that the 05's are that much faster. By marginal i mean 1-3 tenths in the quarter, which is half a tenth to maybe 2 in the 1/8th.

All the ones around here only run .1 or .2 faster than me in the 1/8th when i/they are stock. Autos and manuals.

its +40hp and a lil gear but they are also a few hundred lbs heavier...it evens out quickly. The 3v is no better for boosting than the 2v due to having crappy rods, just like the 2vs (either seems to break around the same power levels as the other)

yeah make the trek from san diego to tennesee

I wanted to race a S2 SC or a stock TC with me on motor....that should be a decently fair race. Ill even do a couple races "his" way and a couple my way if thats what they prefer.

I actually like SSs/Redlines..i LOVE the skyy/soltices. I would own one but dont want ot spend that much money a newer car thats under warranty that ill want to modify.

After owning so many paltry N/A 4 bangers over the years i just wanted to go fast and a early model new edge mustang was one of the most affordable ways to do that.

There is much faster out there, i know that, and i dont honestly care ifsomeone beats me.

I think a TC will pull me on a roll race but i think ill win from a dig. I'll even take video and post it win or lose. Surely there is a TC in the knoxville area?

Dude I'm not trying to argue with you, the 05+ GT's are on average a 1/2 second faster than the 99-04 GT's. Auto 99-04 GT's run on averge 14.3.14.4, and the 5spds run 14.1-14.2, but the great drivers could hit 13's. Auto 05+ GT's run on average a 13.8-13.9 and with a 5spd run 13.6-13.7, but great drivers have hit 13.2-13.3. I'm on a few Mustang forums and the main one I'm on there are quite a few 05+ GT's running mid 13's stock, and into the 12's with just an intake and a tune. If you dont believe me look it up, because I'm done arguing with you.

Dunno what you are smoking but half a second is a fairly large leap. the 05's in the 1/4 are about .2 to .3 faster...there are some factory freaks but thats just what they are.

How am I smoking anything? Come on over to mustangforums.com and have a seat and see what you learn. There are tons of 05+ GT's running mid 13's stock, and again the 99-04 GT's are low 14 second cars on average. Then were talking about adding just an intake and tune and guys running a 13 flat and some into the 12's on stock tires. Again, you're more than welcome over to mustangforums, we need to teach you some stuff.

Already on there, already been on there for awhile. Already top 5 on the 2v timeslip list.

Ive SEEN them run all day long at the track. Ive SEEN an auto s197 on the actual factory tires with a roushe series 1 blower run slower than i did on MOTOR!

You cant list the s197 hero times and then list the SN95 normal times and expect that to hold up.

And if you think that ANY s197 owner is running 12s on a metal or plastic piece of piping and a tune with average street tires you are nuts.

http://www.mustangforums.com/m_934493/tm.htm

read your own sections timeslip thread....all the timeslips and mods laid out shows most guys have several more mods than "intake and a tune" to run below a 13.5.

Did you even look at the timeslip thread yourself? There are quite a few guys on there running mid 13's and faster stock, and some with intake, tune and pulleys running in the low 13's and 12's. There is also a guy on there with intake, exhaust, LT's, steeda suspension and ran a 12.6. You are f*cking crazy if you think people arent running mid 13's stock and low 13's and high 12's with minimal mods.

Did you check the link I sent you? The sn95's are BS, why you think I sold mine for the 08 Cobalt SS/TC? That guy does have Steeda suspension, but did you see the hundred other people that are running mid 13's and faster with their stock s197 or with minor bolt ons?

and? I run mid 13s with minor bolt ons....so eat me.

My sn95 would run all the **** over your s197.

Trying to talk to you is like trying to talk to a ******* down sydrome kid, holy ****.

Some people cant accept that their car isnt the fastest damn thing on the road.

Im not saying s197s arent FASTER, im jsut saying they arent really all you make them out to be.

I can bet you that your car with just bolt ons wouldnt beat me. Now if you have F/I or some nitrous, yeah you most likely will, but your car with just bolt ons vs mine with bolt ons, you're done for. I know my car isnt that fastest, but I know its a low 13 second car and there are plenty of guys that have ran 12's with the same mods I have.

By all means, once I get done with the Police Academy and get on my shift and correct schedule I might have to head on over to Nashville.

I would have joined along time ago if I knew for a fact that I was gonna get the SS/TC. I've been over on the Ecotec forums for like 2 years, just waiting for the chance to get an Ecotec powered car, but then I opted for the SS/TC and joined here.
