Srt-4 at the track
Srt-4 at the track
So my friend who has an srt-4 is moving down to florida to go to school. On his last night in town, which was 2 weeks ago, him, myself and a few other guys decide to go to the track. It is a pretty crappy day, around 95 degrees and very humid. Myself and all of my other friends are very curious to see what he runs considering he just finished modding his srt. He went from having a turbo back exhaust, to a ported stage 3. his best run of the night was a 13.9@116 with a 2.8 60ft. He could not hook up for ****. when he ran this he had a really bad tune. He was putting down 360whp and 363wtq. Now he is down in florida and he got his car tuned by a shop that i think was called Rage Technologies. He is now puttiing down 468whp and 475wtq. i am at his house visiting right now and sometime within the week he is going to the track. It seems pointless to me because he couldnt hook before, but we ll see. Any thoughts on times?
Im not saying you couldnt but he is actually a very good driver. When he just had a turbo back exhaust he consistantly ran 13.8s and hit 2.1 60s frequently. The car just cant grab traction. It cant even go from anything under a 60 roll without spinning.
Yeah he lives in port st. lucie. I dont have the balt i rode down with one of my friends in his car

he needs TIRES! and then he might be ok for a bit. But with near 500whp in a FWD he will need a LOT more suspension done to get it all down properly.
There is no excuse for not using decent tires/suspension when you get to certain power levels. the whole "there is just no traction to be had" crap is for ricers.
Ok, so tell every ccar in the world that makes more whp than him that they are full of **** when they hook up at a track.

If your talking about Jesse's car, then yes, all he does is spin. we ran from a 40 and he spun the whole time on the highway. This was on his old turbo too... I was with Jake. I also raced the Blue RSX with cams.
