So tonight i went to castrol raceway to see what my car can do with the new setup. Wasnt expecting much because i never got re-tuned after i installed header/dp/exhaust so my afr r all over the place.

Anyways first race they pair me up with a 5.0L 89 Mustang with drag radials, intake, exhaust and a 75shot (talked to the guy later on) He ran a 14.1 i ran a 13.9. I dont recall if he said he used the nitrous but im thinking he didnt..lol.

So i come back around and get in line...get paired up with a 05 Mustang GT...im thinking "oh ****, this should be interesting". He ran a 14.0 i ran a 13.8.

So i raced a few other cars. Took a break for about 30mins to let the car cool down then hopped back in line. So they pair me up with a mustang gt, but he had every single part, plus more from the mustang saleen...supercharger, smaller pulley, exhaust, intake. Talked to him after the race, him and his buddies said they just dynoed the car...480whp. So we line up, i stage at 2000rpm and took off. He got me right away however he then missed 2nd gear which gave me a chance to catch up. After he got into gear he caught up really quick...He ran a 13.88, i ran a 13.86. Awesome race. His friends were dissing him hard that he lost to a 2.0L, 4 banger and said he should go get a automatic





There was a Mustang GT500 SuperSnake beside me in the line up but they ended up pairing me up with a honda civic And sorry i dont have videos...gf didnt come with me

yes...im still new to drag racing so my 60' sucks...2.3 was the best i could get tonight. And also like i already said i was running stock header/dp/exhaust when i got tuned for the tvs...now i have header ,3" downpipe and 3" exhaust and i havent gotten re-tuned yet so my afr is all over the place.

running 18" hercules...better then stock pirelli tires. im getting the hang of launching but since i lowered my boost to 40% in 1st i dont have the power once i get moving in 1st gear

That slip you posted of the Mustang, he is pulling 2.0 60's, so I wouldnt be saying he needs to get an automatic. Everyone misses a gear every now and then.

i know...i had a my share of missed gears. But his friends were making fun of him because he lost to a 4 banger. If he didnt miss 2nd he should have gotten around 12.8 i think

A stock GT with a Saleen S/C should be in the 12's with ease, and this guy had full bolt ons and everything, making 480whp. If it hooks, it's in the 11's.

Well i guess he has to work on his launches...as do i. With my set up i should be between 12.9-13.1...but my 60' sucks ass.

60's mean alot!! What tires was the Saleen S/C'ed Mustang running? They sure dont look like DR's.

i have no idea what they were on the "saleen" the 89 mustang at DR tho.

I'm surprised the Fox Body didnt dip into the 13's with his mods on a DR.

yea it wasnt his car, it was his dads...either he is new to driving it or he didnt spray. I talked to his dad after the race about what it had, i was shocked it didnt kick my ass
