ss slowbalt

i went to the track for the 1st time in my life with my 07 ss sc and did not do well

R/T.241
60' 2.294
1/8 9.641
1/4 14.83
mph 95.48

i have a gm performacne exhaust and a drop in k+n and a hurst short throw i feel i should have sone better all my 60's were 2.2-2.4 and 1/4 mile from 14.83-15.1 so atleast i know i was consistant

on a good note my two buddys ran .5 slower consistantly the track prep was very poor so maybe on a good day i forsee a 14.3ish with good track prep

lastly i raced a stage 2 srt4 a 2004 it was the kids 1st time also and i consistantly beat him although he could not launch due to major tire spinnage

let me know what ya think

chris

Good call! you will run better next time. I'm glad to see people going to the track and getting some time behind the wheel. Thats what it is all about.

That doesn't seem to bad at all for your first time. Get that 60' a hair lower if you can and I'm sure you can see like a 14.5. I pulled a 2.226 60' my first trip to the track and ran a 14.08 with stage 2 and a 2.9".

ET and MPH is dead on to what I got with my bone stock, just-off-the-showroom-floor SC.

I came off the line feathering it a bit at 1500rpm. It was cool and dry, but I had VERY LITTLE miles on the odo.

You got a better mph than I did (so far!), so you def should be near the mid 14" mark.

Gotta get your 60' time down to at least a 2.25-2.30.

If you feather out the clutch at around 1500 rpm's, axles should not be an issue. That'll take the shock off the launch, and will prevent wheel hop as well.

Good luck!
